Hope you feel better soon! I've been trying to get in those daily challenges! I need to get back to logging in some other daily exercise as well. We are in the process of selling/buying a house and it is taking up WAY too much of my time!
-
That sounds delicious and I have most of the ingredients at home already. I'm going to have to try this soon!

That 1/2 hour for a walk is awesome!

I'm right there with that! I'm a paralegal too...my boss brought in doughnuts today and we have candy EVERYWHERE! Pretty soon all the treat baskets and gifts for the holidays will start rolling in. Luckily, sweets aren't usually my downfall and we have a lot of physicians as clients so they send healthier options like we…

Agreed with all of this! Add me as a friend if you would like. I cook all the time and try to make it cheap, easy and in big portions for my family of four then enough to take as leftovers. I've started posting recipes in the recipe forum and I would be happy to share them with you or anyone else who needs suggestions!…

Haha, I haven't had a Krispy Kreme yet guys....I do have some will power for goodness sakes : ) I said IF I still want one REALLY bad I will eat it BUT living in KK headquarters town they really aren't THAT big a deal to me. They are all over the freakin place and no, they aren't usually as good as you think they are going…

I did kickbacks in the bathroom at work the other day. Held on to the edge of the sink and just did 10 with each leg...

Me too, haha. He's a weirdo for sure!

Haha, when he started crying afterwards my BF said "Did he slam it in a drawer or something? Geez!"
-
Me too! I'm 5'4" and 230. I'm trying to get to 160 and I'm new here also. Would love to have more friends with similar goals!

Also, you will probably want to break off the tough ends. A really simple way to do this is to bend the stalk (I do them in small handfulls) until the end breaks off. It will snap right where the toughness/stringyness begins and you throw away the ends. I place them in a layer on a cookie sheet, spray with olive oil (or…

Welcome, I've been here a little over a week and am open to new friends also! I sent you a request and anyone else can feel free to send me one.

I have 17 tattoos....haha, I had to stop and count. I want more...don't know what yet but one day it will pop into my head and I will do it. No piercings except tiny gauges in my ears. I'm allergic to a lot of metals so piercings never heal right on me. I will try to post a pic of my most recent. I get some silly fun…

Amazing! I am so impressed and inspired. Great job, you should be really really proud!

OOOh, I watched it and loved it! Creepy and full of WTH moments : ) Can't wait for next week! The end part where the next door neighbor tells the maid "You both better watch out" then "Dont make me kill you again" Crazy!

Apples, grapes, carrots, cheese (law fat variety in small portions), maybe see if you like skim milk as well as 2%? These are all things I like to snack on. I have high blood pressure as well so I watch my sodium. Or even some low sodium sandwich meat and get a couple of slices, spread 1/2 a wedge of laughing cow cheese in…

Same here when I started doing her kettlebell shred DVD : )

I agree with the processed foods observations. Also, with the suggestions to check with your doctor. I am on a medication that prevents me from properly processing carbohydrates and even when I'm earting fairly healthy ones like oatmeal and yogurt I will gain weight very quickly. I see a lot of carbs in your diet and…

I'm cooking for about 12 out of town guests and we have 3 veggies in the bunch. I plan on making a ton of vegetables....roast brussel sprouts, cauliflower "mashed potatos", baked butternut squash, balsamic baby carrots...stuff like that. Then I will make a pork loin for main dish because we don't do turkey so much and I…

New to MFP and just saw this thread. There are some great sounding recipes on here! I might try the heroin chicken tonight! I take a medication that keeps me from processing carbs well so I tend to try to stay fairly low carbish. My daughter is a vegetarian though and I cook one meal for the whole family (2 adults and 2…

Hey everyone! I'm excited to be part of the group. This will be my first challenge on MFP as I just joined last week. My name is Courtney and I am 38 years old. I have been "chunky" my whole life really. I grew up with a step-mom who hid food/eating and had really unhealthy eating habits and I think I developed some…

I'm just beginning here but so far I've been logging as I go. If I'm tempted to eat something that I'm pretty sure isn't very good for me I check the calories and fat on here before I go for it so I can see if I have enough for the day or not. If I have a bunch of calories left at the end of the evening I drink a giant…

I wore my "tight jeans" today and they aren't tight for the first time in months! I don't have to wear a baggy shirt with them to try to cover up my muffin top
