Update! Yesterday was my first work day on Keto, and OMG. I wasn't hungry, shaky, or starving! I ate breakfast around 6, lunch around 12, and dinner around 6! I wasn't getting the hanger like I normally do, and I didn't need to reach for any snacks! I'm so excited!

I'm still researching Keto, but my sister has lost like 30 pounds since May, and she's loving it all. I want to give it a try now. But I think I'm pre-diabetic, I'm always hungry (probably from insulin spikes), and would prefer to find a way of eating that can fuel me all day. I feel like I'm a slave to food. I'm hoping…

Thanks for this. I think this is exactly what I need to do. It hurts too much to try running, even at a 3.5 pace right now. :-)

I'm just starting this program (again). The furthest I've gotten is week 4, but I always end up quitting. I was feeling good last week, but when I tried to run Sunday, and then again today, my legs were so tight and heavy-feeling. How do I prevent that? I really want to finish the program! Heck, I'd be happy to get…

"You're looking great" grimacey grin, "But you know men don't like stick figures, right?" My roommate, after I'd lost 20 of about 100 lbs I needed to lose. I still had a long way to go until I'd be considered a stick. She was just concerned I'd start hitting on her boyfriend.

I'm in. I need to lose about 150 lbs, and need some encouragement.

I think it depends on the location. I've heard horror stories, too, but mine is amazing. They don't limit you on deadlifts, we have squat racks, the lunk alarm rarely goes off (I only heard it for the first time last night, not even sure why or how). I think you can always make a workout work if you need to, but only you…

Good for you! That's so awesome! Keep up the healthy habits!

Yay! Hi, Guys! I'm starting over on Tuesday, once I get back from a trip to Colorado, and can't wait! So awesome! Keep it up, ladies!:flowerforyou:

Wow. That was incredibly rude of him. You're absolutely right that he had no idea what was going on in your life. Besides, if you're treating yourself to Good Chocolate, forget skinny cow. Not nearly as delicious. And honestly, not nearly as healthy, IMO (fake sugars, blah blah). He was probably looking for some poor…

When I was in high school, my shoe size was 10, but then during college, it went down to a 9 with weight loss. It was nice until I gained the weight back, and none of my shoes fit.

RIght on. And good for you! That's amazing! I love PF, too. I can lift as heavy as I want, enjoy all the amenities of the Black Card membership, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. People shouldn't disparage others from trying to better their lives, just because the gym isn't as pricey as others.

Bump. I'm one week 2 of 10k Trainer by Zen Labs. Love it!

Good to know!

It's fall, so winter squash is coming into season. I love butternut squash (make into noodle and bake until tender, roast in chunks, make into soup, etc), spaghetti squash (replace any recipe with noodles, and it's delish!), acorn squash is sweet, and a great substitute for potatoes.

I do something similar, but I put them in my rice cooker. I prefer it to boiling, and doesn't take nearly as much time as regular boiling.

I sprained my ankle a few years ago (falling down stairs, not on a run), and it took about two weeks to heal up with consistent icing, compression, and elevation.

God for you! You look amazing!

I tried to find one on eBay yesterday, but I'm thinking I should just bite the bullet, and save the money for the one I want on Amazon (It's Polar and it's green. )

About dang time. My mom was trying something that he pushed on his show (some "natural" supplement), and I'm just praying that it doesn't screw with her body chemistry too much.
-
I'm really just trying to eat as clean as I can (though, I admit I had a Mike's Hard Lemonade last night. It was so hot outside, and I was sick of water. But I tracked it, and moved on!). Also, I didn't get around to working out last night. We had guests over, which through a monkey wrench in my plans. Looks like I'm…

Working out this evening, after work. I hope the gym isn't monstrously busy. It usually isn't when the weather is nice, so I'm optimistic. Doing Week 3 of Phase 1, Legs tonight. I might be taking the elevator to my floor at work tomorrow, instead of the stairs!
-
I am starting week 3 of phase one today. I would've yesterday, but spent time gardening instead. Excited to keep at it, though. I love phase one, and it always zips by in a flash!

I don't have a specific plan, but I try to include produce in all meals and snacks. I've mostly had big salads with healthy fats and proteins for lunches, and oatmeal with apples for breakfast. It takes some planning, but is so worth it.

When I was in high school, I wanted to lose weight to be beautiful. I didn't believe I could be beautiful without being thin. When my grandmother died from complications from her Type-2 diabetes, I was in college, and decided that rather than being "beautiful" (Which I'd already accepted that I was), I wanted to be healthy…

I'm trying to follow the plan to the letter this time, diet and all. I usually get halfway through and give up, so I'm hoping that I make it through this time around. I'm not doing any cardio, as I don't have anything coming up (like a 5k) to train for. Phase 1 goes by in a flash, though!

I actually did weigh myself this past Monday, to see if I'd lost anything through lifting and clean eating, and I lost 3.8 lbs! I've got a lot to lose, and I've seen before that eating clean really helps me drop weight quickly. I'll probably gain a bit this week and next (though I don't want to. I'm simultaneously doing a…

I'm on week 2 day 3 and love this program! If you started a group, I'd be interested. :flowerforyou:

I'm planning it with a few of my college friends, and my sis. It'll be my first half marathon, and I also plan on the Glass Slipper Challenge. Can't wait!

All really good advice. Thanks, Everyone! I'll give W2D1 another go again tomorrow. :flowerforyou:
