  • Near Vail, in Edwards! Wow, there are a lot of Colorado peeps on here!
  • I'm so picking up the ingredients and making these this weekend! Awesome!
  • My 9/1 starting weight was 129.6 and today I'm 127.1, down 2.5lbs! I went to three concerts over Labor Day weekend and danced my butt off (I guess literally!) for 3 hours each night. I might have to incorporate dancing to my workout routine from now on, it obviously worked! I work in an office with limited frig space, so…
  • Glad I found the thread! Excited to start Sept with a bang! I lost 5 in August and hope to do the same in Sept!
  • I would agree. My iPod nano counts my steps, and I also have the Nike Fit adapter to calculate miles. Running is less steps/mile, for me 1 mile running is about 1600-1700 steps, and walking is about 1900-2000 steps depending on my stride.
  • Are we weighing in today and the 31st? Or continuing with Friday weigh-ins thru Sept? Thanks!
  • That is funny and disturbing all the same. Only in America would people exercising seem suspicious. Jeez.
  • My NSV is that I've run two 1/2 Marathons the last two weekends! The first one was really tough on me, and then this last weekend I ran strong, ten minutes faster than the weekend prior.
  • I totally agree with ArlVAMom. Especially if your workout in the morning, it's great to get some protein in your body to repair/feed your muscles. Healthy choices are the important part of choosing what you eat and when you eat it.
  • Happy Weigh-In Day everyone! I got in 574min of exercise this week and over 90oz. of water every day and lost 2 lbs since last Friday! Woop! I know the water helped, I'd not been good about water lately and really focused on it this week. I'll definitely keep it up. Make it a great day! -Didi
  • I do "at home boot camp" that I change up every day. The best part about this is you can do it anywhere, your home, yard, hotel room. I do 30 sec intervals of everything from running in place, jumping jacks, push ups, lunges, squats, planks etc... I do 4 1/2 min (9 different exercises), rest 30 sec and repeat up to 8…
  • Unlike smoking, where cigarettes can be taken away cold turkey - your body can survive without them, but food.... you cannot eliminate from your life. In this journey, we all seem to find what works and what doesn't, but it takes some time and help from our MFP friends! :flowerforyou: LOVE THIS!
  • I had the same problem! I had a trainer who called them "reward" days instead of "cheat" days. But I would do the same, gain 1-3lbs and spend the rest of the week playing catch-up. I'm guessing it's because of the salt, sugar, alcohol and fat content of "reward" foods and drinks that set us back. I decided finally to…
  • Looks like I'm 2lbs down from my starting weight! SW: 134 CW: 132 3174 Cal burn 8/1-8/5 (are we measuring this M-Sun or Sat-Thurs since we weigh in on Fri?) Even though I had a 'splurge' night with my husband for our anniversary, I still feel pretty good about this week. I usually get long work outs in on the weekends, so…
  • Mondays are usually my 'rest' days, but I burned 387 cals with a long power walk instead. Go BLUE!
  • Thanks for starting this thread! Go team BLUE!!!
  • I'm in, sent my friend request and msg. This will be my first MFP challenge and I'm super excited! Pretty new here so feel free to 'friend me' and I'll follow you too. :)
  • Plan ahead is definitely the key for sure! I find the shopping works best when I plan a few days or week at a time. That way you can plan for grilled chicken, steamed veggie and rice on night one, and night two you could use leftovers and add to it for a nice chix stir fry. My 'always in the frig' items for quick fixes are…
  • Almond Milk all the way! I use the unsweetened vanilla, only 40cal per cup. It's creamy and delicious, and doesn't taste like almonds to me.
  • I also don't have the time in the morning before work for a good breakfast. I usually eat 1/2 a protein bar (find ones that are low-cal, high protein) on my way to the gym to work out and then eat some Greek Yogurt when I get to my office. My favorite yogurt is Fage 0%, it has 15 g of protein and only 90 calories per 6oz…
  • Hi, first of all congrats on the jeans! Doesn't it feel great? I'm totally in on your final push. I'm doing a 40-day 'biggest loser' challenge at my gym. I'm 9lbs down and have 10 days to go before the final weigh-in. So I really need the will power to hit all my workouts hard, and say no to any and all "bad" foods. Do you…
