I love these studies that say certain foods increase cancer risk or this or that health risk by X amount %: it's so vague. They usually just say don't do this or that or you will increase cancer risk by 100%, 100% of what? It might be increasing cancer risk from 0.1% chance of you ever getting it to 0.2% in your life time.…

Lower Calories than maintenance is NECESSARY for catabolizing tissues (muscle, fat, and others). Lower Carbohydrates affects Hormones, Blood Sugar, and the body's systems. Basically its comparing apples and oranges except people who go low carb 90% of the time eat less calories than their maintenance. Moral of story is…

Everyone is raining on OP's parade.. but its true that it's mostly water weight

Because I'm obsessed with knowing as exact as a macronutrient/calories I'm taking and individual bagel stores or deli shops don't exactly offer that.... though you can estimate it but I'm pretty OCD about it. So If I grab a quick lunch subway is the way to go..

I think i should stop going to whole sale clubs all together... I have a new empty 28 ounce tub of coffee ice cream that I can add to my collection.. that I bought only on Monday.. Why is sugar + fat + soft and cold texture so good together?

If they are just "friends" that say that, then they mean don't get thinner (than me because then I will get jealous). If they are true friends then they area just caring about you and your wellbeing.

I can really relate to this because about a year ago I had triple digits to lose and I was also a video game addict in senior year of high school. But like you said, certain things just trigger you and you snap and realize that something has to change, and since then I've changed all of my habits and changed as a person.…

Take a wrap, Bake it at 350 till its crisp, put on tomato sauce and a little bit of cheese + toppings. Thats a 200-300 calorie "pizza".

You can have the cake and eat it too!

Ive read a lot.. and experimented a lot... eating "healthy" (whether that be low fat, low carb, low GI, natural food, organic food, whatever you define it) is more mental than physiological. To be honest whatever works for you and gets the fat stores moving (has to be caloric deficit) you should stick to. Whether it is a…

You may have more muscle/lean body mass, and its less dense than fat.. so even at 185 you take up the same space as you were at 149.. its a good thing!

eat 1 egg for every 3 egg whites, that way ul have higher protein to fat/cholesterol ratio

60 calorie pita breads toasted up in oven or toaster + 1 laughing cow wedge 25 calories spread on it + some sliced veggies + some deli meats = 120 calories total

in terms of calorie counting this is a mystery but in terms of water retention view its not. When you cheat day a 6000 calorie day or something you in fact did gain fat weight that day but because your glycogen stores and stuff were over filled and the following days you go back on diet, it probably let you drop down a lot…
