I definitely stand up for myself more than I used to. I'm less afraid to be seen or to speak up, less likely to take nonsense from people, less likely to allow myself to be treated badly.

1. Pre-log as much as possible, saves having to think for the rest of the day 2. Use my fitbit - even if I don't look at it much the fact that it's there keeps me mindful 3. Walking half of my commute means I get a really strong minumum amount of exercise without even trying 4. Some days I will be really hungry, and that's…

Another vote for Levis bold curve. I have had success finding them on ebay for around the £20 mark

I'm 44, way fitter than I was at 20, and getting more fabulous by the day. Age schmage! :)

Me - the only consistent exercise I'm getting at the moment is walking every day and running 2-3 times a week. Averaging 18-20,000 steps. I'm still losing with 10-15lbs to go, but in no rush. TDEE is around 2100, currently I'm eating around 1850 on average. I'm 44, 135.5, 5'3"

I haven't untagged myself in the last three photos of me posted on Facebook

My hair is to the middle of my back. I do this and then clamp down any stray bits of hair around the sides and front with bobby pins. I can't stand having my hair flailing everywhere when I'm exercising.

I eat them every now and again when I'm in the mood for a really voluminous meal. I rinse them very, very thoroughly, boil them for ten minutes and then dry fry them, then add them to a stir fry (usually with lots of veggies, chicken and chilli and garlic sauce). I've never noticed any adverse smell (though my husband…

Nope. I snack before I sleep most nights.

Oh boy. Salted caramel profiteroles Nutella cheesecake Tiramisu Tres Leches cake with strawberries on top Dark chocolate orange cheesecake Dulce de leche filled churros Raspberry & white chocolate brownies Strawberry rum cupcakes (madeira sponge recipe with chopped strawberries, with a strawberry and dark rum frosting) And…

It takes time. A few years ago I went from feeling like death running for 60 seconds, to running for an hour at a time. It took me several months to build up to it. Following a long period of inactivity I started from scratch again, and followed couch to 10k. I'm now just at the point where I can keep going for more than…

My husband parroted 'concerns' expressed to him by a friend who hasn't seen me for the best part of a year (and who didn't know me before I gained weight). He knows full well what I'm aiming for and how I'm doing it (he does the cooking at home so it's not like we never talk about food). I told him how odd I found it that…

On paper I have one. In reality, I'll know when I know! My BMI is 23.9 but my bf% is on the high side of normal so I'm thinking lose a few more lbs of fat and doing a slow recomp. I'm more concerned with feeling comfortable and fit.

Got my wedding dress out of the attic (18 years in August) because I was trying to figure out if I was anywhere near as small as I was then. It's too big!

Speed is a personal thing. There will always be faster people who thing you're slow if you ask them, and slower people who think you're fast. If you enjoy running a 5k and you're feeling the challenge of doing it, you're doing great.

If I want a specific dessert I *will* find a way of having it. Today I built my day around a salted caramel profiterole dessert. 450 calories (but that still left me 1200 to play with)

Another pear here. I'm starting to see some thigh reduction and look a little more in proportion now that I'm in the 'normal' BMI range. It's a slow process. Big fan of squats and lunges here. My legs will never be really slim and lean, but they *will* look good.

I love cheese. I eat goats cheese or extra mature/vintage cheddar nearly every day (M&S Cornish Cruncher *salivates*). I figure out how much I have room for, weigh it, grate it, and have it as a snack on crackers, usually when I get home from work..

That one day you may look down at your chest and be taken aback by how much boob has vanished seemingly overnight :/

I tend to do the size comparison thing with other people mainly because I don't have a solid sense of the size of my body. Sometimes in my head I'm not the size I am now, I'm still the size I was 60+lbs ago. I do find myself thinking about it more than I want to, but I'm finding it a hard habit to change.

You can't 'shake up' your metabolism, and detoxing is the job of the liver and kidneys. Not helpful to the OP at all.

Nearly 44 here. I think my neck looks a little older due to a bit of loose skin, but my cheekbones more than make up for that!

^^ This!

If I ate within an hour of waking I'd be chewing my arm off by 11am! I'm usually up at 6.30, out of the house by 7.30, and at work @8.30, which is the earliest I eat. My workplace is pretty flexible so if I want to start work early and take a short break later in the morning for food, I can.

One more in for a big fat NO.
-
I always buy regular/full fat versions when available.

Nope, nope and nope. Detox is what your body does naturally. Cider vinegar and honey is nice and comforting in hot water when you have a sore throat, otherwise it's just part of (yummy) salad dressing.

Truth! I followed a similar recipe for ten years and 60lbs before I woke up to it...
