I eat cheese every day. I have a small handheld grater, and I use that to serve it up, including for making grilled cheese sandwiches. It somehow helps me to eat a bit less than I would slicing. My favorite is Old Fashioned Colby, love the texture and flavor! But all cheese is heavenly.

I love cheese, tooooooooooo...grated parmesan in my omelets, provolone on my pastrami sammies and extra sharp cheddar just for a snack. Yum!

I love cheese. I eat goats cheese or extra mature/vintage cheddar nearly every day (M&S Cornish Cruncher *salivates*). I figure out how much I have room for, weigh it, grate it, and have it as a snack on crackers, usually when I get home from work..

I am a definite food addict and am trying to learn to control my cravings. Unfortunately, cheese is one of those triggers that makes me binge, so I'd like to learn to make cheese a treat rather than an every day thing, but I crave it every single day!

Don't buy cheese then it won't be in the house =)

Me, too. I eat it often. It's all about juggling around what you want. If you want cheese, eat it. Take something else out of the day that you'd miss less. Also, I agree about the sharper cheeses being 'enough' in a small amount. I don't even waste my time on mild cheese. "Mild" is the Moscato of the cheese world. No thanks.

    Cheese, glorious cheese!
Eat it! Work it into your calories for the day.
If you want to cut the calories, use a cheese planer or vegetable peeler to shave pieces.

    I LOVE cheese. Hnnnng.

I generally just buy really good quality smaller portions that I know I can fit the entire lot into my day if I can't stop eating. I also happen to have a great cheese shop two minutes from my flat so can buy small portions of great cheese for a treat.

Otherwise cheese triangles and single serve snack pack cheeses are pretty good. Pre-portioned so I know exactly how much I'm eating.

My husband brought me a beautiful wedge of blue cheese from his trip to Wisconsin. It is so wonderful that I have been sacrificing my chocolate calories to fit in a minimum of one serving a day.

What makes me crave cheese SO BADLY and what alternative might curb that craving?

It's the sugar in cheeses that makes you crave them so bad. I love cheese myself, and I believe in moderation should be more than fine. Though, I love cheese fries, topped with chili...I know, I know, it's not healthy, but it makes my mouth water.

Oh I'm with you on this one! I love cheese. There is actually a component of cheese that is addicting. I just read that and believe it!

Cheese is AMAZING! But I prefer Mac and Bloo.

Cheese LOVES cereal, but not as much as chocolate milk.

Aww. I loved that television show.

As for OP, just eat the cheese? Work it into your calories. I buy the Babybel cheese wheels in bulk and keep them in my fridge. I have probably one or two a day because I love me some cheese.

?? There's almost no sugar in cheese. People go nuts blaming everything on sugar.

This post bothered me too! Some studies would suggest it's the casein in cheese and other dairy products that make them a bit 'addictive'. In cheese it's also highly concentrated.

I think it's the fat and salt that people crave. I am going without for 2 months as a personal challenge.

You can think what you want but the studies say it's casein and casomorphin. Which are pretty essential for veal to get attached to drinking their mother's milk, and also why humans drink/eat it.
