  • I haven't stopped by this site in awhile, actually I've been concentrating on my calories as well as my carbs. Some days it's difficult especially weekend. I do well on the week days though and keep trying during the weekends when we go out to dinner more often. Life gets busy especially now that it's getting warmer.
  • My husband and I are eating keto-paleo, my husband eats the fat bombs I prefer the sugar free pudding made with coconut almond milk from Silk as it has no carrageenan (cancer causing ingredient). This helps us stay on the diet. We eat a lot of stir fry veggies cooked in coconut oil, chicken but no breads and no sugars.
  • I just started back to MFP about a month ago or so and I don't chat much on the site, trying to concentrate on eating better foods. My husband has reading Dr Mercola's articles on his website and that had helped us eat better. I also take ideas from the Paleo diet.I also am mostly eating low carb 18-22 carbs per day…
  • I'm not new to MFP, but I haven't been on for awhile as I've been fighting breast cancer. Being a candidate for RCIA is wonderful as is learning more about the Catholic faith and it will help dispel a lot of negative information regarding the church. I have an excellent author that would be worth your while to read, his…
  • Ditto to this! Use the ACV- with the mother, found in the health food store in your city.
  • I put 2 tablespoons in a small glass and add 1/4c Ocean Spray Cranberry, Blueberry and Blackberry juice and drink this mixture, it tastes great, actually gives the juice a bit of a zing. I use it to cut my acid indigestion, I drink it a 1/2 hour before bed time.
  • I do love garlic, but lately I'd have to say rosemary has been my favorite for the past year, however I've been trying to go outside the box and expand my use of spices as I'm finding I love to add them to many dishes.
  • Giving up fast foods for me was easy once I realized how horrible they really are, no taste, way too many calories, and the breads on the burgers were way to mushy for me, give me my whole wheat any day. Actually once I started to eat healthier and make my lunches for work, and eat real foods, I started to enjoy the food I…
  • Maybe use organic coconut sugar from Navitas, I got it in the health food store, it has low glycemic, B vitamins and minerals, 1tsp is 15 calories total carbs 4g, sugars 4g, sodium 9mg
  • As far as resolutions go mine is to remember to write 2013. Ok, seriously now, last year I had written down my weight on a calander near where I weigh myself in the mornings every week. I looked back to check what I had weighed on Jan. 2012, well the good news was that I hadn't gained over the holidays, the bad news was…
  • Congratulations! That is successful! Be proud of yourself!
  • Yeah, okay that's just freaky. You were right to jump away, I think I'd run. Yuck.
  • I'm in starting weight if it didn't already register is 233.4lbs
  • My favorite devotion will always be Mary's rosary, I say it in English and Italian. I love to spend my mornings with Mary and Jesus with a cup of coffee. Walking outside I usually meditate on the beauty of God's green earth, and thank God for what he's done for me in my life, sometimes I have said the rosary but it's…
  • I think I'm more of a hindrance to myself than my husband is to me, I'm the one who wants the sweets, oh he'll eat them if I make them but doesn't bring them home or make them himself. I usually have the cravings and make them, eat a piece or two then throw the rest out or freeze it...unfortunately if it's frozen I still…
  • I've got the same thing going on with me and this morning realized that I did great yesterday then sabotaged myself by making a chocolate cake, I ate 2 pieces and I just reached my goal yesterday from what I was trying to lose since Thanksgiving. Now I weigh more this morning. I sometimes don't know what's wrong with…
  • :flowerforyou: SET GOALS TO STOP THE 'SELF-SABOTAGE'
  • 59 years here..as of Jan. 15th... told my husband I'll be looking really hot by the time I'm dead....LOL :) Oh well at least now I think I have somewhat of a handle on this losing weight instead of gaining it ( I had a really good handle on that, LOL) looking to lose at least 90 or as close to that as i can.
  • This sums it up for me! I'm fat, obese, but doing my best to beat this horrible thing that I've done to myself...but.now to beat the "WHY" did I do this to myself?? I know the "HOW" of it.
  • Really amazing and great success, you look so much better thinner and much happier I'm sure. Keep up with keeping the weight off now that you've learned how it's done. :) Best of all of MFP wishes.
  • Had to write also, great weight loss for Cody and his peeple family look great also. Labs are my favorite, golden doodles are fast becoming my second favorite as my daughter and her auntie has one. Great weight loss story.
  • I agree with this quote. I make my meals and do not sample as I make it, I weigh it all out and put 1-2 veggies on the plate, with a starch, potatoes, rice, bread, with my 4 oz of protein. I then bring it to the table with my glass of wine or diet soda or water, I sit down to eat, the first 3 bites I really taste and…

  • Welcome aboard MFP! You'll have good success here.
  • Through the quick add calories, on the computer, add the negative (-70) for the no cheese on an item. On phone it's under the Quick add button when you look up the food item put in the negative amount.

  • Unfortunately, when you eat a lot of sugar all you want to do is eat more sugar, and more sugar and more sugar with no satisfaction. :( Sugar begets sugar.....try eating some protein, drink water. YOU CAN STAY AWAY FROM IT....exercise.
