I didn't read any of this because I'm late to the party and don't want spoilers. Just got into it a while back and I'm burning a hole in netflix catching up...but yeah Supernatural is awesome!

Welcome buddy! This site is the bomb. Everyone welcome this awesome person.

It's slow going for me. One week I can run, the next week I can't. I try not to push it, but when the going is good, it feels great to be doing something I never could have done a year ago.
-
Also, I am saving up for those shoes.

no?

Here is the beauty of this website. WHAT DOESN'T MATTER. What should I eat? Doesn't matter.... What workout should I do? Doesn't matter... If your goal is to lose weight, just stay under your calories and do some kind of exercise. I've lost 47 pounds on here not making any HUGE diet adjustments except in portion size. I…

Ok I see how this works....after 7 pages, no comments should in any way be related to the original post?
-
This isn't my post, so I'm not going to distract from it with a theological debate...which always works out well on the internet. Stay on topic people. The OP asked a question, I just gave my opinion.
-
To the OP, I notice a lot of comments from atheists, which is fine as you asked for opinions on this topic, and they are giving it. But here's another view. If one purports to be a Christian, there should be no aspect of life untouched by the faith. It's all encompassing. For me, I know I've not treated this body, made in…

My only pointers depend on your level of fitness. The real key seems to be to not push yourself too hard. If you're feeling too much pain, the "power through it" mindset can lead to an injury that will really slow you down. If you have to, do a certain week twice. But if you can run a half mile already, you'll probably be…

Self bump....anyone?
-
I eat something for breakfast because people say I should. Usually something less than 200 calories. Really doesn't matter though if weight loss is the only goal. Under the calorie count means you will lose weight.
-
I've tried and failed at C25K twice now, but that's more on me than the program. I need to take it slower this next time. Do the first week and if it's really hard for you, do the first week again, and again. When you're ready, move on.

I love the feature. For the very large like myself, it's all about the weight loss, and staying under leads to weight loss. If you're too under for a day, it warns you about that. So I don't see the problem.
-
Awesome, and that's not slow. I run around 3.5-4mph....that's slow.
-
Yeah, this was one of those posts where I was hoping not to get the confirmation of what I already know. I need to see the doc. Very sickly winter for me and I'm about tired of seeing him, but, gotta get that knee working to reach my goals.
-
That's awesome! I hope to be so inspiring one day.
-
I love this site. You guys are all the best!

Second time is a charm. There it is.
-
Feel free to add me. We all need support.
-
I'll send you an add. 100 is my dream goal.
-
I'm nowhere near your locale but I'm nearby in how much weight I want to lose. Good luck.

Posted a second one if anyone is interested. Will stop bumping this thread now. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/johnstegeman

And if I'm posting this in the wrong place, please let me know. I'm new.

Kudos to everyone who gets through this. My wife and I started back in the summer and got 4 weeks in before our shins betrayed us. Will try it again, but this time I plan on doing each week twice for slower, but hopefully less painful, progress.

Thanks

I just joined up on here but good luck. I see a lot of success stories.
