I lose less than a lb a week.

Couple of things you could try - eating low calorie meals with more content. Example - I don't want to eat many calories at lunch so I eat a HUGE salad almost every day. You could also try intermittent fasting. Look it up. It may help.

Thumbs up for this thread.

Many times when I click on these threads it's someone complaining that people are watching them gym or that they are sitting playing on their fun too long or something. But this may be an actual worst gym dude of all time.

Pictures never lie. I'm talking spur of the moment, candid pictures. Not perfect lighting and skinny angles. So in college, my roommate snapped a picture of me and then the roll of film was developed (yep, back in the day), it hit me like a ton of bricks. I had put on 24+ lbs and didn't really know how terrible I looked…

How do I cope with a bad dye job?.......I complain about it daily and piss my friends/husband off, because they are annoyed with my complaining. Then when I have the time (in your case, money), I go get it fixed. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that you are 25 years old. Yes, I checked your…

You could always volume eat for dinner and eat a HUGE salad.
-
If that is your current picture, looks like you may not have a lot to lose. Basically, you lost 2 lbs a week, the last 2 weeks. That's a fast weight loss.
-
*slow clap* This thread was an awesome read! Never change MFP.

Agreed. The leptin information is more interesting. Volume eating may be very beneficial for those people who have been obese for a long time and lose weight.

Dit-to!

@CoffeeNCardio I think you explained how I was feeling about it, but I couldn't find the words. So if you are right, I'm right. If you are wrong, you are on your own. LOL! jk!

@CoffeeNCardio Great post.

lol but also :/

It doesn't matter what you calculate. Your body doesn't care. If you are still losing weight at 1850 calories, that is not where you maintain at this body composition.

Small weight under your heels right? not toes?
-
I do that schedule, yes. It takes me at least 40 minutes...sometimes it takes around 55 minutes....keeping in mind, I have zero wait time for racks or weights. Completing my workout is solely based on my rest between sets.

I am on week 5 of PHUL. I really like it. I use a good ol' fashioned spreadsheet and pen to log my workouts. I am not really losing weight right now but people are asking me if I am losing weight...so I think something is working. lol I do a little calf work but sometimes sub that out because I feel my calves are fine and…

I don't use trendweight, but essentially that is a trendline on a scatter plot. The line shows a general pattern or direction that the data is moving (not hitting exact data points). In excel this is a trendline on a scatterplot of random data (you could use excel to do the same thing trendweight is doing).

This is what I suggest. When I changed what I was eating at lunch is when I stopped crashing at 2:15 p.m. (that was my crash time).

To add, how would you even walk without muscle mass? Or how would your heart pump? You have muscle. And based on how you lost weight according to your other post, you may have taken preventative measures to retain muscle you had by keeping protein high and lifting (without knowing any other stats).

Is this just with Luna Bars?

Lol. No one is hating on curls for the girls. ...is what was written. Which is good advice. OP is literally doing bis, tris, and abs.

I totally agree, context is everything. I think we have such an enormous learning curve on the boards, from those who are seasoned and have considerable knowledge to those truly who have no knowledge about any of this. I am guilty of forgetting that there are so many who truly have NO prior knowledge or experience to…

I get what you are saying but people saying the first statement in this forum are saying it to those people who are eating "900 calories a day" and doing couch to 5k and gaining 2 lbs of muscle the first week of doing the program. And the "you need a calorie surplus to build muscle" is used generally because isn't it,…

Me too :D

Agreed!! Lots of the elite have this quality. Look at most of the "best of the best" and you'll see they are self-driven to the point of caring mostly about numero uno.
