Thanks for your answer. That's what I assumed would be the case.

So much bro science in this thread.

I used to eat 1,200 calories a day. Blah! But now I'm doing whats right for my body and slowly upping my calories. Feel free to add me.

Nope. If you are in a calorie deficit you will lose weight no matter what you eat. Just make sure you know how many calories are in the soy latte, because it would be pretty easy to underestimate it using average sizes.

What are you still confused about?

Great to see someone else referencing Layne! OP, 100g of protein is definitely not too much, don't be concerned about that. :)

About the meeting macros but not calories. I believe (not 100% sure) that MFP does something weird with fibre calories somehow. So essentially, if you are hitting your macros then don't worry about your calories being a little low.

Please be careful eating that little and burning that much! :) If your body does handle it then yes, you most likely will lose a lot of weight. But your metabolism will be extremely slowed and you will find it difficult to maintain that weight loss without continuing to eat 1200 and burn 2000. I am currently doing reverse…

Um, MFP just *'d my swear words!

Just my opinion. But if you are truly doing IIFYM and have calculated your macros properly then chances are you are consuming mostly 'clean' foods. I don't think it's possible to hit cutting macros, or even bulking macros for that matter, without having a base of foods that are 'clean'. Just because I eat chocolate, pop…

Just commenting to read everyones hilarious arguments. What if everyone just ate what they wanted instead of trying to convince everyone to eat like them? PS. Proud IIFYM'er.

Syntrax's Matrix 5.0 is a good one if you want something thats cheap but still good qauality. Balance is a little more pricey but pretty good too, especially the cookies and cream flavour. Shotgunsupplements.co.nz and supplements.co.nz and nzmuscle.co.nz are all really cheap websites to get it from. :)

Thankyou everyone for your lovely words!

Photos are around a year and a half apart. :)

It's a lifestyle where you eat food based on meeting your macronutrient goals (carbohydrates, fats, protein and fibre).

Bin Inn in Hamilton (not sure about other branches) do fresh ground peanut butter. I get a massive tub, around the same size as a 100% Nutz container, for $4.40 and its just peanuts, no salt or any kind of additive.

Try heating up quest bars for like 30 seconds in the microwave if you don't like them! They are sooooo much better that way even though I like them both heated and normal. Hope that helps! :)

Thanks for the suggestion. I shall try it tomorrow, just gotta get the motivation to push myself! :)

I have had one for maybe 4 weeks now and I love it! I have found that it has helped me exercise more because I always try and beat my goals, so I will take the dog for a walk or something to get the extra steps in. I also discovered I was burning way more calories than I thought I was because it gives you a "fitbit calorie…
