If possible, I'd measure it before I cook it and then after and take what that amount is and divide it among the meat (in grams). That's what I did when I made chicken that had marinated. Turned out to be only about a serving each so that was nice.

I say go for it! The worst that will happen is that you may have to walk a part of it for a little while. Maybe you could do a light jog on the race path beforehand to get an idea of what it'll be like?

I would do sedentary and then log the exercises individually and eat those cals if you want (that's a whole nother debate lol). This is what I did anyway before I had a job where I was on my feet all day and moving around.

The important thing is to plan ahead and have a backup in case they are out of those items. Order smalls of everything, maybe even kid sized portions. Drink lots of water because it is sure to have a lot of sodium. Exercise before or after to earn some extra calories. Eating fast food once in a while is not going to hurt…

It is different running outside vs treadmill but still doable. I would say to start the c25k program over again and do the whole thing either inside or outside. Be consistent with the method you choose. Some people need to repeat weeks and that's fine, just make yourself run 3x a week. If you have a smart phone download an…

When I was in college, our school would do some free/cheap events, maybe yours does too?
-
When I started, I was around 124lbs and I'm 5'3. I got down to around 105 by eating 1200 calories and running 3x a week. I started sometime in February and was done around July. Now I am eating at maintenance, but still running.

I would venture to say that it can and honestly I would just avoid measuring and weighing during TOM.

Are you sure you're not going over in calories? If your level is set to something other than sedentary, you may be counting exercise twice and not realize it. Another thing, your muscles retain water and muscle is heavier than fat (see the picture above), although you wouldn't have gained a lot of muscle weight over that…

Get your body fat checked. If you do sports, it could be muscle, not fat. Based on your bmi alone, you're overweight, but it could be muscle.

Don't skip dinner, if you do that might increase your chances of bingeing because you're hungry. Eat something healthy. You don't have to wait until tomorrow to get back on track, start with the next meal.

I use this page to help me: http://www.weight-loss-program.com/art13-taking-measurements.html The important thing really is to be consistent in where you measure.

I did wall pushups for these because I couldn't do them either. By the time I was done with 30DS I was able to do a couple real pushups (on my toes).

I have a 64oz bottle that I fill up either the night before or that morning and I keep it near me. I marked off the half-way mark and try to have that gone by around 4. (I'm a night person so that's about halfway through the day for me). This has been the only thing that has worked for me and I notice that without the…

Check what your activity level is set to and what your starting weight is set to. Maybe you entered these wrong?
-
I run outside without it (around 5 miles), but I also run where there are stores and carry some cash on me just in case. If you're only running 2 miles you don't really need to carry it with you unless you're finding that you feel dehydrated. I just don't like to carry things when I run.

Looks like it's showing it to me... might just take some time to update
-
I wouldn't buy that, but I do use smaller plates when eating and I also weigh everything. It was definitely a wake up call to see how much 1 portion was.
-
The important thing really is to maintain consistency when weighing. Weigh yourself with the same scale, amount of clothing/lack of clothing, same time of day, same foods/drinks consumed beforehand, etc. Even if the scale is off, you can still monitor your progress.

You can add me. I log on everyday, except when I'm traveling or I can't for whatever reason (very rare). My diary is open to friends.
-
In general, you're supposed to NET at least 1200 calories. If your level is set to sedentary, then you log your exercise and you're supposed to eat those back. It may be different because you said you were obese and I've heard of doctors putting those individuals on low calorie diets, but I wouldn't do that unless your…

Have the parents bring more of their toys, set aside crafts or other activities for them to do for that hour. Or take them outside and play. Exercise isn't limited to the elliptical and workout videos. By running with them and what not, you're burning calories and it's a win-win.
-
I only log things that raise my heart rate. I logged cleaning once just to see how much I burned (used HRM), but didn't actually count it in my head as exercise and I didn't eat those calories back. My levels are set to sedentary but cleaning is something I do on a regular basis, not extra work like running or weight…

Well in the US, sodium on packaging is in milligrams, not grams, so that's why it's like that. Just get in the habit of double checking the label vs what MFP says when you enter a new food.
-
You can definitely tell a difference! Keep up the good work.
-
For me it was multiple family members commenting on how I gained weight. I knew that I had, but when someone else notices... it really got to me.
-
What body fat % is considered skinny-fat?
-
I average about 100 calories per mile when I run, by the time I'm done I've burned 400-600 calories, plus whatever I burn with my walk afterwards.
-
and then wouldn't it be ironic if the orders were cancelled? For me, until we were about a month away from the report date, I lived life as if it weren't happening. If it's a year contract you could stay behind and finish your contract up. I did that with a 6 month. But yeah the military sucks sometimes :( makes it hard to…

I hate when people post things like "today's dinner is [insert a common food here]" or "today I'm doing laundry and homework" .... really.... I will sometimes put photos of my food to show my family/friends the amount of calories for the food because they've continuously asked how I've lost weight, but I don't put it on my…
