Can someone please help me with some advice!

Some days ii eat 3 times a day and qet in all my 1400+ calories for the day which is mostly on my off days from work.. then ii work out for about 2hrs burninq about 600 of those calories off.. Other Days ii only eat about 700 calories a day or maybe not even that BUT ii still qo to the qym and work out and burn those 700 calories plus more..ii eat a banana or oatmeal for breakfast then ii workout for about 2hrs or more then qo to work from 10pm-6am and eat at work around 1am or so 300 calories or less. im unsure if this is qood or bad beinq that im still workinq out or what? Please help

Visit the group Eat More, Weigh Less. You are not eating enough, and even assuming it doesn't mess up your metabolism (which it might), you still aren't getting all the nutrients your body needs at only 700 calories a day. Not to mention that you need lots of protein to help your body take advantage of all that working out you do at the gym.0

You have to put healthy fuel into your body and eating 3 meals a day your metabolism will slow down eat 3 meals and 3 snacks eveningly, you arent eating near enough and 2 hours working out on no fuel will eat your muscles.
Have you researched BMR & TDEE I didnt have a clue before I came here,you really can eat alot more than you think I spent 22 years reading eat little to lose weight thats why I yoyoed,never diet learn how to feed your body and exercise fueled.

Nope... there is no such thing as the body burning the stored fat first. It doesnt select which fat stores to burn (aka spot burning)... Youre actually doing more harm to yourself than good with the way you are going at the moment, but its not too late to make positive and more productive changes! 8-)0 -
Eat More to Weigh Less is a fabulous group.
MFP has already created a deficit for you based on the activity level you have chosen, so it is important to eat those exercise calories. If you properly fuel your body it will run efficiently so that it will properly metabolize and burn the fat.0 -
In general, you're supposed to NET at least 1200 calories. If your level is set to sedentary, then you log your exercise and you're supposed to eat those back. It may be different because you said you were obese and I've heard of doctors putting those individuals on low calorie diets, but I wouldn't do that unless your doctor is monitoring it.
Another thing to keep in mind is, can you continue eating the amount/exercising the amount for the rest of your life or are you doing a lot now and possibly will burn out later?0 -

im not sayinq by eatinq just anythinq but eatinq 700 cals of fruit and veqqies all day lonq .. sometimes i cant consume all 1400 of my calories every sinqle day sometimes im only intakinq 400 or 800 a day but its fruits veqqies protein bars & yoqurts .. im not at a healthy level in my weiqht im actually over weiqht .. soo ii spend 2-4hrs in the qym about 6days a week burninq what ii consume than more..0

I agree with the other posters...you need to eat more. I know it seems counter-productive but you really do need to fuel your body. Muscle is easier for your body to break down than fat. So, if it isn't getting what it needs it is breaking down the precious fat burning muscle and leaving you with just the fat. I would check out the group eat more to weigh less and research TDEE and BMR. Make sure you are getting enough protein at every meal...I find MFP protein recommendations to be a little low. If you find it difficult to reach your daily goals try healthy foods like nuts...higher in cals, good fats and protein. You may want to peek at some of the women weight lifting forums on here. I've found some very helpful info on TDEE and BMR and it applies to everyone, not just big muscle men.0

And..... you are starving yourself. What you are doing is a sign of an ED. You may not be doing it with ED thoughts, just out of ignorance. But you CANNOT survive by burning off everything you eat. Your body needs a certain amount to survive (that it actually gets to use and isn't burned off). That amount is usually around 1200 minimum for women.0 -
I am willing to bet you that if you opened your diary to the public, the little caloric intake you are having is the number one issue - even based on what you are telling us here.... I agree with one of the other comments, you are definitely showing signs of an ED....
You really need to revamp things and do this the right way - what you are truly doing is medically counter-productive.0 -
My personal trainer told me when you're trying to lose weight never eat the calories you exercise off. Just eat your daily required calories. I did what she said and lost the weight I was trying to lose. Now I eat what I exercise off sometimes but not always and my weight is maintained and I'm very healthy and in fantastic shape.0
