Now I know weight can fluctuate a lot before our menstrual cycle starts, but do our measurements change significantly too? I just took my hip measurements and apparently it's an inch more than what it's been for the past two weeks...very unnerving! Almost like all the work I've done for 3 months is just a waste
What do you say?

Old TOM can cause all sorts dramas...wait until gone, measure again. I know my waist goes up that week. I dont bother weighing/measuring then.0
-
Does it go upto an inch of fluctuation though?0

I will get bloaty for sure, but I don't gain weight. Actually I lost a couple pounds during my last few cycles, I lose apetite as well. It's just a horrible week.0

I'm on TOM right now, and weighed this morning while on it. NEVER.AGAIN.
Even though it's just water weight. So don't stress. But it is pretty annoying.0 -
I would say an inch or so for me, my clothes always get tighter.0

I would venture to say that it can and honestly I would just avoid measuring and weighing during TOM.0

I think it does make you go up in inches. I measured myself and I went up an inch on my hips and waist line last night. (on my cycle now) I also gained like 5lbs of water weight from it, kinda sucks though. I get more hungry & lazier... feel like I could sleep all day!0

yeah i wouldn't stress an inch around that ToM, our bodies are totally rebelling against us!0

Yep easy inch. Just continue to eat right..I can b stricter on myself that week..I don't use it as a reason to go nuts...when I indulge I want to b in a frame of mind of self control...I am able to lose/maintain that week now. It's usually best week (mean when finished).0

Yes it does go up...measurement-wise. My thigh measurements went up by an inch before-during that period. It's back to my usual measurements now. Don't worry!0

I'd kill to only swell by an inch, every month my stomach swells by 8 or 9 inches during TOM, on the plus side i do get preferential treatment when people think i'm 6 months pregnant.0

yup sadly our TOM can cause water retention... well it does for me, so therefore I appear more bloated and weight more too. I dont worry about it. Drink plenty of water to help decrease water retention. But overall, I say relax and ride it out :-) Us ladies suffer with it and feel your anguish0
