Interesting topic - I'm over a year post op and forgetting my vitamins on most days. Anyone else over a year out still take supplements regularly? Wondering if its normal to fall off or if Im making a big mistake

I try to maintain this sentiment too, nice to hear someone else has the same thinking. Although wouldn't it be nice to look good in a tank top?!?!?

Unfortunately it wasn't a bladder issue, it was a colon issue - eeewwwww!

This issue scared me the first few months post op. If we looked there are probably some topic posts form me about it - HA! Before surgery I went daily and experienced frequent diarrhea, after surgery total constipation. Now at 13 months out , my new "regular" is every 4 days or so. I do go more frequently with extra fiber,…

Welcome and congrats! The sleeve was the best thing I ever did, wish I did it 10 years ago!
-
I typically have the opposite problem too! I guess if this is the only inconvenience for being smaller, I'll take it :)
-
Congratulations!!!! and God bless!! As a mother of 3, all I can say is consider yourself out-numbered now :)

Good luck ladies!

Hair loss is normal, it will stop eventually. I got a new haircut that included bangs to help hide my thin hair. Almost one year out, my hair is finally coming back now

My 1 year surgiversary is next month (November) so I am no expert, but definitely experienced with this sleeve thing :) I have lost 94 lbs, hoping I hit 100 by my anniversary. I notice when I don't eat right or drink too much alcohol I do the 2 pound dance (losing and gaining the same 2 lbs for weeks ) With that said, if…

Month #1 was 30 pounds for me. Month #2 was 13 and Month #3 10. It does slow considerably and even fluxuates up and down. you may have a stall or two................. BUT KEEP PLUGGING AWAY! You will get there. I found myself complacent at 75-80 pounds of weight loss, but luckily it kept coming off a few ounces at the…

At 3-4 months out I was eating about 600-700 calories per day and struggling to attain that. Focus on your water and protein. Im almost a year out now and usually eat 1000 cal per day

first 2-3 days was physically rough, after that smooth sailing! Struggles the first 6 months were getting in all the water and protein requirements. Just keep at it and do your best. I'm almost 10 months out, I've lost almost 100 pounds and I LOVE my sleeve.

love love love carbs - probably part of why I got so fat in the first place..........but I do still eat them or else the cravings could be overwhelming. I try very hard to keep them around 65-75 g per day MAX

Not having a background in nutrition or medicine, I cant say for certain. As a sleeve patient I can say my body functions fine. I take my vitamins daily (or every other day at worst). I get my required protein 99% of the time and I drink plenty of water. Think about people who eat 3000 calories a day of McDonald's, plenty…

Great advise, thank you. I love salads and missed them the first few months with the super tiny tummy. Now I will start enjoying them more often again

Thanks Mandy!!! I love how you are always so positive!!! I've been playing with the same few pounds for a while too. Im so so so happy to read that im not alone. I am going to do exactly as you say and get back on track!

Shakes do not keep me full......I have one every morning at 5:30 and I am starving by 8 am. I do use them as "snacks" sometimes to help fulfill my protein and water requirements, but they seriously do not satisfy me.

God bless us all

I eat around 1000-1200 cal per day and 80-90 g protein..........the more I think about this and examine myself I am realizing some of my old bad choice habits are creeping back. For instance allowing myself to sip a diet soda instead of water. We all know diet soda makes you crave high fat and sugar. Or allowing myself a…

9 months out last week Also not a problem for me are the high carb foods like potato chips, pretzels, popcorn, peanut butter, french fries, no tummy ache but I do eat significantly less than before my sleeve. Problem foods: Greasy foods make me nauseaous Too much sugar makes me lightheaded and my beloved ice cream =more…
