@briscogun how did the next 28 min run go? Are you on a treadmill or the great outdoors? @suzieQ136 W2D2 today? Go Rock it!!! @cillaj8 how are you doing?
-
@briscogun great job on progressing! @suzieq136 its always tough to start but if you go with the program and stick to 3 days a week with breaks it makes it so much more enjoyable and wards off injury and set backs... @cillaj8 woo hoo!!!! We finally have decent weather here so I have moved outside...... first run last week…

I am hoping this group is quiet because it was winter, and now because of the world situation... Hope everyone is able to get miles in somehow with social distancing etc. Unfortunately for me Ms. Winter doesn't believe in social distancing and is hanging around a bit longer then usual... we are expecting something…

@TheMrWobbly Great Job!!! with your consistency, it will definitely be this decade!!! i'm suitably impressed :
-
@TheMrWobbly I use map my fitness and an Apple Watch too but doesn’t look like that.... I have run a couple of 5kms but with the extra training and the horse show then the “horse show hangover” I’m ready to start being consistent again! We got quite a bit of snow last night so my outdoor running is pretty much done for…
-
I have done a couple 5km on the treadmill now and another one tomorrow.... we got snow last night so I’m pretty sure I will be on it now for the next 6 months ☹️
-
@TheMrWobbly i really like this... is it just manually keyed into a calendar or is it in conjunction with another program or app? And fantastic job on the commitment!! I am certainly envious of your dedication! <3

I live!! Life has been full of over turned apple carts and changes at work so it has been busy, depressing, nerve wracking and filled with "what next"s!! I have managed to get out and run once a week but with the snow last week and the cold snap coming back tonight including another anticipated dump of snow it then becomes…

W6D1 in the books today covered 4.16km! I am so thankful for my co-worker..... having that support has been amazing! I have really noticed a difference in my riding too....... and that is the main goal, as I am a rider not a runner...... :) Short week...... Happy Wednesday!

W5D3...... the dreaded 20 min straight. Completed it with one break as the wind was vicious into our faces and it was hard to breathe.... so walked until the direction changed to our path and continued. Will repeat it on Friday. the downhill slide has started to the long weekend (here in Canada......) signifying the end of…
-
W5D2 finished!! Thank goodness for my co-worker or I would have kept working through... we kept a good pace and have stayed with the same path... Is it just me or do all the runs seem to cover the same amount of ground in these middle weeks? We are gearing up for the dreaded W5D3 on Wednesday! Happy Monday...... have a…

W5D1 done....... it was super windy.... will try again this weekend and see if I can do a bit better. My coworker and I were discussing our strategy for next week and I forgot to look when I started the app for todays run and we were on the wrong day :( mild panic set in! lol but we reset and kept going! Not a fan of the…

@VanVanDiane love the new pic! Did W5D1 on the treadmill last night as it was too hot out.... I survived but holy did I sweat! Have a great Thursday!
-
W4D3 done with my co-worker! On to Week 5 on Wednesday.
-
oh I like San Diego!! I am in a place where we are about 6-7 months indoors due to weather.....sometimes too hot, lots of times too cold or icy, rainy days and everything in between!
-
@kals25 I became dependant on the treadmill :( so depending on what your ultimate goal is (besides weight loss) then I would get outside as much as you possibly can.... not sure where in the world you are, but you may have to rely on a TM for quite a few months (or 6) the adjustment can be tough between outside and a TM. I…
-
Hi @kals25 have you looked at the C25K program? I would start off slow and get your body used to hitting the pavement........before you literally hit the pavement..... :) I know when I started running outside (as opposed to a treadmill) i had dreadful shin splints. I slowed down and went day on day off of "running" and it…
-
Great job! I would get your shoes looked at first off.... then slow down! Have fun!

2/3 this week!!! YAY :) I went out for W4D2 by myself and think I was too fast... I did struggle with the 5 min today and had one walk break in each at 2:59.. I will see how the next one goes and see if i will repeat a day or not. Happy Thursday!
