I'm willing to bet that yo have been doing some sort of resistance training. Like everyone else is saying, if measurements are changing for the better, you feel better, people notice good changes, and your clothes are looser, you are doing better than a scale will tell you. Always remember that muscle is denser than fat.…

The only thing that matters as far as what your starting weight is, is that it will only be a start. There is only moving up from starting weights. However, make sure you have a solid base with free weights before starting a program like the 5X5. My opinion is to spend AT LEAST a month with free weights doing a plan more…

Welcome to MFP, Luna. This works best when you are honest with yourself about what you eat and your exercise. I started out a year ago with 38's getting tight. Now I wear 32's. It takes hard work, honesty and dedication. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Considering what you are eating, it's not so bad. Sure the calories add up, but not as quickly as say... cookies. Sure this is coming from somebody who had a similar problem with laying off a key lime pie earlier this week, but your food choice is better. If you look at it from a Weight Watchers' prospective, those are…

My most used are probably: Sirloin steak, chicken breast, skim milk, Fiber One Oats & Peanut Butter, eggs, organic spinach, blueberries

Some "experts" say that the best ratio is 40% carbs, 30% protein, and 30% fats (20% unsaturated, 10% saturated). Other "experts" say to cycle between high and low carbs. There is so much conflicting info out there, I say experiment a bit and find what works for YOUR body.

Since I can only list 5, I will go with 5 of my favorites: Guiness (the REAL stuff, not what they ship here to the States) Labatt Blue (in Canada, not what they ship across the boarder) Blue Moon Any Sam Adams Ithaca Apricot Wheat

The old fashioned/natural thing would be ti use a tree branch. You could also go down the road to your local playground and use the monkey bars for your pull-ups. Of course, I do love my Iron Gym. One of the best Christmas presents I got as an adult.

At 36 years old and about 200 pounds, I ran a 5k in under 24 minutes. I'll shoot higher next year. I am also training for my 1st triathlon which happens this coming Sunday 3 June. My only goal for that is to survive it.

Looking better, feeling better, some new clothes that will fit well, and looking sexy for my beautiful wife. Eventually, sky diving and another white water rafting trip will come into play.

My wonderful wife introduced me to it. She found out about it from one of her friends.

With the change of seasons try getting out. Go rollerblading, biking, hiking, or even just a walk.

I haven't lost my "muffin top" completely yet, but I've been working at it. I think that a combination of resistance training and cardio does best. Resistance training and HIIT cardio sessions keep burning extra calories in "after burn" much longer than steady state cardio. Good luck to all of us!

11 March: 3.55 Total: 40.85 To Go: 49.15 Almost half way there, with almost 2/3 of the month to go. I can do this!

Like many people, I've had, and still have multiple demons. Luckily I have them more under control these days. I'd say that my worst were 1) portion control 2) late eating after games (played or watched) and 3) the choices made for those after game feedings...beer, fries, wings.

WAY TO GO, BROTHER!!! It's always awesome when somebody really notices.Usually, it's difficult for people who see you everyday to notice these things.

It's all about the curves for me. Because of the curves, I've been attracted to women from size 6 to 16 for the most part. I think generally I like size 10-16 the most.
