  • I love Moving Comfort bras! I'm a DD, and the Jubralee works great for my runs. I wear the Fiona for Crossfit.
  • So proud of you cousin! Hopefully I'll be able to post my own success story one day too. You're fabulous, and all of your hard work has paid off! You look amazing!
  • I love my Aria(Fitbit) scale, but it's on the pricey side. I think I paid around 100 bucks for mine. I love the fact though that it syncs with my Fitbit account(which syncs with MFP), so I can see detailed reports of weight changes, BF% changes, etcetera. I also weigh in 3 times a week at the weight loss center I go to,…
  • I work in the schools and have always liked Born, BOC, and Merrells. I've had repeated stress fractures in my left foot though, and on the recommendation of my doctor I now am wearing Alegria. They're not as cute(in my opinion) as some of the others, but my feet feel amazing at the end of the day! I can walk on my foot w/…

  • My husband and I backpack a lot, and we found two websites, www.stevespaleogoods.com, and www.primalpacs.com that make awesome and delicious travel food. They both have pacs/kits, that have fruit, nuts, and jerky so you get a good balance of fats/protein/carbs. Steve's also has PaleoKrunch, which is like a grain free…
  • My box did Murph yesterday, but I wasn't able to do it. We just got back from section hiking part of the Appalachian Trail, so I was taking a much needed rest day after hiking 10+ miles a day for three days! I think we're going to do Murph again this Saturday, so hopefully I'll be able to try it then!

  • I'm 5'7", with an hourglass shape. SW:236 size 20 CW: 196 size 14/16 GW: 160ish I'd be happy to get into a 12! I was able to maintain around 200 after losing weight right out of college. In the past year, I've only lost ten pounds or so, but I've lost over 20 inches. I'm not as focused on the scale as much, since I do…
  • I'm squatting between 125 to 155 lbs during the Crossfit WODs. I haven't done my 1RM in a while, but I think it's estimated to be around 175. I'm a big girl who needs to lose some more weight, so I'm not squatting my BW yet, but hope to reach that goal by this fall!
  • I make my own almond milk now. For coconut milk, I buy Thai Kitchen Organic coconut milk by the case from amazon.com. It doesn't have the junky additives that a lot of others have. Typically, for coconut milk, anything sold in a carton(refrigerated or not) will have more additives than the canned coconut milk.
  • I started wearing minimalist shoes two years ago and I love them! I have vivobarefoot mary janes that i wear to work almost everyday, then I have several pairs of minimalist shoes I wear for Crossfit, running, etcetera. That being said, it is important to transition slowly. Now that I'm actually running(finished C25K…
  • I try to eat a small meal at home before most of those situations, just to keep myself from overeating the wrong types of food. Also, I've ordered Primal Pacs and/or Paleo Kits in the past and those are fabulous to have on hand for events like this! I'm going backpacking this weekend, and we're taking four Primal Pacs with…
  • CrazeBeck, I have a Polar FT4 and love it! It works great and I haven't had any issues with it. I bought it earlier this year when I started Couch to 5K. I have exercised-induced asthma, so being able to see my heart rate has helped me control my breathing during my runs.
  • I love my Fitbit! I wear it everyday(got it in November), and it's definitely helped me lose weight this year. I like it because it reminds me to be more active during the day. I do Crossfit, so I'm definitely active each evening, but using the Fitbit encourages me to move more throughout the day(I have a desk job, so this…
  • Crossfit Iron Mary's in Lexington, SC ( Near Columbia, SC) I love my box!!
  • Thanks JanieJack! It felt awesome to finally RX a WOD! Now I'm focusing on my next goal. I'm running my first 5K next month and trying to increase my endurance and speed so the running WODs won't kill me anymore.
  • This has been a great week for me - I RXed my very first workout, after a year of Crossfit! (I was in rough shape when I started last spring.) And, I did my first double under ever yesterday! I managed to string four of them together. Yay!
  • I was doing CF 4-5 days a week, but am working on my running right now, so I run 3 days a week and CF 3 days a week. On the weekends, I go hiking or canoeing to get more activity in as well.
  • Good luck! I'm on Day 18 of the Whole30, and I can definitely see a big difference. My husband and I were eating Primal before, but our version of Primal included way too much dairy, red wine, and chocolate. I needed a kick in the butt to jumpstart my healthy eating again. Feel free to add me if you'd like - I plan on…
  • Day 11 of my Whole30, and I feel much better! Question - is anyone else having major problems trying to stay away from the scale? I haven't managed to break that habit yet, but I'm not weighing daily like I did before... I'd like to break my dependence on the scale, but don't know how... On the plus side, I'm down 3.4…
  • I'm on day 6 - my husband and I started last Friday. I didn't feel too badly this week, except for some weird stomach issues. How was everyone else's first week so far?
  • I'm on Day 6 of the Whole30, and my biggest problem is the sheer amount of time I've spent in the kitchen or shopping this week. My husband and I both work full time, Crossfit, and I work for our Crossfit box as well. For breakfast, we've been eating either a frittata or NomNomPaleo's spicy tuna cakes. Lunches have been…
  • I started it Monday and just did my 2nd "run" today. It was so much harder than Monday, but I pushed through it. Afterwards, I looked at the app and realized I just did Week 2 Day 3 instead of Week 1 Day 2. Oops! Guess that's what happens when I try to exercise at 5:30 in the morning...

  • That's fabulous! Keep it up! I started 9 months ago, and love/hate every minute of the WODs! :o)
  • Some of my Primal New Year goals.... 1) Eat better and have fewer cheats 2) Obsess less about the scale and focus more on how I feel and how my clothes fit 3) Complete a 30+ mile backpacking trip 4) Run a 5K 5) Do a pull up! I started eating Primal in 2011 and had several health set backs(3 broken bones in one year -…
  • We have box jump burpees in the WOD today. When I started Crossfit last spring, I couldn't do a box jump or a burpee. (I had just finished PT for a fractured kneecap and some other issues). I still dread the burpee, but I've come a long way. I can do them without it killing my knees anymore! I have a long way to go still...
  • It's okay to slip up every once in a while. Forgive yourself, and do better tomrorow. I caved and had a piece of pie at my holiday event today, but I know I'll eat clean tonight and the rest of the week to make up for it.
  • I love my Fitbit One! I haven't noticed any problems with the its integration with MFP.
  • I love my Fitbit One. I got it at Best Buy with a 20% off coupon, so it was under 100 bucks. When my dog ate my first Fitbit(no joke), I used the Striiv app on the iPhone to keep track of my steps until my new one came in the mail. The game on there is addictive, so you constantly want to earn more energy by moving, but…
  • Feel free to add me to. I've done the yo-yo weight loss too before. My goal is lose 50ish lbs and keep it off this time around!
