Thanks for all the insight guys! I guess my battle with the scale is wayyyy more emotional than most of you. Its a defense mechanism to stay away from it so i'm gonna do just that in order to improve my fitness WHILE listening to my body and how SHE feels:)

This! Also, the quote that keeps me going right now (and the one i've plastered everywhere at work and at home lol) is: "A year from now you will wish you had started today." It reminds me that today is the day to get this done, not tomorrow!:) Tomorrow turns into next year which turns into five years......etc.

Taking it a day at a time is DEFINITELY a better strategy I think than trying to aim for the bigger picture. Thats one of my new tactics as well:)

I'm there as well:) My brain is my biggest problem. Everytime I feel like i'm at the brink of a breakthrough, a little voice says "No you're not. You're gonna fail this time just like you did every other time". Sucks but i'm trying to work past it......

My reward system is more of a continual one. Giving myself "prizes" for losing a certain amount of weight never worked for me because if I want it bad enough, I get it anyway lol During the week, I eat really well and try to stay to a minimum amount of carbs (and a calorie limit). p.s.- The last time I did a lower carb lifestyle, I lost 35 pounds and kept it off for 4 years (while re-introducing carbs, better carbs, with the occasional doughnut, cookie, candy bar, etc.) before having my son. I definitely agree. I was staying under my calorie limit and exercising and the scale wouldn't budge. For me, eating 1200-1500 calories a day of candy, 100 cal cookies, etc, in addition to my regular meals was hindering my weight loss (calories in, calories out is all that matters right? I just deleted someone today because of that. A million status updates a day and majority of them were about her personal life, her boyfriend, etc. They were also super negative and it was starting to piss me off to see that every 5 mins lol
