You're not alone! I turned 30 in July of last year and I have definitely noticed a difference in my body. For starters, I started having all these stomach issues to then be told that I'm lactose intolerant. My knees are popping like I'm an 80 year old woman, I'm trying to do some strength exercises to help with that. I've…

I'm on week 4 of it now and I've been running on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Mondays I usually do a normal aerobic workout at my gym, then Wednesdays I play tennis. Week 4 is pretty brutal but I've made such an improvement since the beginning. Keep it up! :) Just make sure you take care of yourself and listen to your…

The first time I did the 30DS I did it 10 days for each level, but I'm doing it for the second time around right now after a 3 week break and I'm sort of doing the same except I'm incorporating heavier weights and/or weights in some moves that normally don't have them (like the sumo punch thing).

I was SOOOO sore for about the first 4 or 5 days, it sucked but I kept going. Now I can do jumping jacks like a champ LOL even though I hate jumping jacks with a passion. Once you restart just stick with it, you can do it!!

It's a Jillian Michael's DVD, it's only about $10 at Target or Walmart. I've been tracking my calories, I try to eat 1200 and then depending on how much working out I do for the day I will add back that amount of calories. I've been doing the Shred almost every day, and most days in addition to that I'll walk around my…

Thanks for the wonderful comments!!!! :) It makes it all worth it to know that others are seeing the difference too. I feel fantastic!! I must admit, it was a little daunting at first to think about doing this dvd every single day but I must say it DOES get easier. I'm so glad that I did before/after pics because it really…

Thanks! I moved on to Level 2 after 10 days, on Thursday I'm moving on to Level 3 since I didn't exercise twice in the past couple weeks. I've only missed 3 days so far out of the 21...even though my knee is killing me!!! The best thing you can do for yourself is just keep moving even if you can't do a certain exercise,…

Just ordered one online, can't wait to give it a try next week!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one!! It was a little discouraging but I just keep reminding myself that as long as I'm seeing results in my measurements then the scale isn't a huge deal right now. I'm sure a heart rate monitor will help me, I think part of my issue is I'm not sure about the exercise calories that I'm burning.

Every Saturday is my cheat day, I don't binge but I just pick a few specific foods that I've been craving all week. Enjoy your Christmas and eat some good food, just not enough for 2 people LOL.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try and pick one up this weekend!! I've got to do something b/c my knee is driving me nuts.

Thanks to everyone for the encouragement! :)

Thanks!! :)

WOW, I don't know if I could do it twice a day. Those Plank Jacks make me want to throw up lol!! I've been doing the shred + 30 minutes of walking/biking every day.

Thanks!! It's hard work but I can tell it'll make a difference. I'm looking forward to Day 30!

Congrats to you, your horn deserves tooting!! :)

I weigh myself almost every morning, I feel that it keeps me motivated and keeps my head in the game. It really depends on what kind of person you are, some people only do it once per week but that just doesn't work for me. If I don't see a number then it's easy for me to lose focus on what I'm trying to accomplish.

I usually have 2 hard boiled eggs and a Diet Dr. Pepper lol. It tides me over til lunch.
-
That's fantastic!! :) I know that must be a great feeling to know all your hard work is paying off. Congrats to you!!

Maybe I'll try 8 lbs for my flys tonight, I definitely can't do anything but 3s for the shoulder stuff...ouch!
-
Thanks for the encouragement!! :) I'm interested to see how Level 2 goes...I'm sure I'll work through it! To all my fellow shredders, what size weights are you using? I'm using my 3 lbs most of the time and then for the chest flys I'm using 5 lbs.

Well, I tried to embed the pics in the post but it wouldn't work. Any ideas?

I've been doing 30ds + either walking or cycling on a stationary bike for an extra 30 minute workout. IMO I think there's plenty of weights in the 30 ds, of course my arms are out of shape so it's been more than enough for me with 3 lb weights. My husband has been using 5 lb weights and it's been kicking his *kitten* lol.…

I have patellar tracking syndrome in my right knee, basically it's a crooked kneecap. Lunges and squats can make it hurt a good bit, but usually I put an ice pack on my knee as soon as I'm done with 30ds and then soon after take a hot bubble bath with epsom salt. Doing all that seems to really help with it, on top of 30ds…

Day 4 Level 1 for me and it's definitely getting easier!! My calves are killing me, but otherwise I feel pretty good today. SO excited for Day 7 so I can take my measurements & pics to hopefully see some progress.

My husband and I just finished Day 3 Level 1, I am so sore but I felt like I had an easier time of it today. Lets just say, it's gonna be a while before I start to watch Natalie, as Jillian keeps pointing out LOL!! We took "before" pictures on Tuesday, weighed, and took measurements. I'm so excited to see some results.…

Hi!! Good luck to you!! Where in Texas are you? I'm in Dallas

I've been counting calories/weight watchers for 4 years. The minute I stop counting calories it seems like I automatically gain 5 pounds lol. I've gotten to where I realize it's just not worth it to stop. I have come to accept that I will never be that girl who can just eat whatever she wants and never gain a…
