  • I mostly use almond milk in cereal or oatmeal, and the sweetened version is just waaaaay too sweet for me. I exclusively drink the unsweetened version, and if I need some sweetener, I'll put some blueberries or some other fruit in. I do, however, like to drink the dark chocolate almond milk as a dessert.
  • I'm also a college student losing weight. Every campus has a FREE athletic center - use it! Also, steal fruit from the cafeteria.
  • My Fridays and Saturdays are a joke. I just make sure on those days that I go to the gym and eat sparingly before I go out. I've found that as long as I stay within my calories during the week and exercise consistently, it usually evens out.
  • 1. What did you have for breakfast? Cliff bar, banana, and a glass of almond milk. 2. How much water do you drink per day? 48-72 oz. 3. What are your favorite snacks? carrots, raw almonds, skinny pop, turkey jerky 4. How many calories do you eat per day? 1500 5. What do you generally eat for lunch? it varies. This week I…
  • Height = 5'6" Started out at 235. Currently weigh 171. I'd like to weigh between 145 and 150, but I would be happy at 155.
  • I'm 5'6", 172lbs and I wear a size 14. I have very prominent love handles so although I can fit into 12's, I really don't like the way they look. It sucks because all of my 14's are super baggy in the thigh/butt area, but fit fine around my waist. I'm hoping after 5 more pounds I can finally wear those size 12 jeans that…
  • I'd like to drop another 20-30, but I'd be happy with 15.
  • I used to eat an entire DiGiorno cheese pizza by myself... 1856 calories! So disgusting.
  • I started out two years ago at 235. I'm 5'6" and I currently weigh 176 lbs... my ultimate goal is somewhere between 145 and 150, although I would really be happy at 160. I like food too much to be anything less than that. :P I aim to work out at least 5 times a week, doing about 60 mins of cardio and burning 600-700 cals…
  • bump... thanks!
  • Anyone want to give me a try? HINT: I have two. :P
  • I'd love to find my twin!!! I'm still in school working towards my undergrad so I could use all the support I can get! :P Age: 22 Height : 5'6" Body shape: Pear SW: 235 CW: 176 GW: 145-150
  • Congrats! That's such an amazing accomplishment. I've been stuck at 14 for ages as well... I can ALMOST fit into a 12, but it's still a little snug for my taste. Hopefully I'll get to where you are soon!
  • I love beer. The end. (Beck's Light is a godsend... only 64 calories and it doesn't taste like alcoholic soda water - unlike MGD 64)
  • I run 2.5 miles three times a week (I'm trying to work up to 5k) and then I'll do about 20 minutes on the elliptical. On days that I don't run, I'll do incline intervals on the treadmill and then hop on the elliptical, followed by weight training. I also do zumba once a week.
  • I love everything from Adagio teas, especially peppermint.
  • When I hit 160 (16 more pounds), I want a spa day - massage, bikini wax, mani/pedi... When I reach my ultimate goal (25-30 more pounds), I'm getting a new wardrobe. :)
  • You're going to make the problem so much worse by attempting to force him to change his habits. Up until two years ago, I used to sneak food all the time. I would hoard snacks in my room and binge when no one was looking. It's been a problem that I've been dealing with since I was about 9 (I'm 22 now). When it first…
  • Are you exercising? That helps a lot with losing inches around the waist. I have a problem where my pants are way too big in the butt/thighs, but the next size down is too small for my waist. I started out as a size 18, but I've been stuck at a 14 for the last 25 pounds. It's very frustrating, but I just put on a belt and…
  • I took it the day after I got back from a week-long vacation in Italy - I somehow miraculously lost 4 lbs while I was there!
  • I lost 30 pounds on WW, but after the new points system was introduced, I didn't lose anything. I don't like their whole "free fruit" concept and I felt like converting exercise into points was just way too complicated, so I rarely exercised. I think WW was great for me when I was just starting out on my weight loss…
  • I'm with everyone else here... the first 1-2 miles really sucks. I really dread starting up my run, knowing that I will be at it for at least half an hour. I just tell myself that I'll go for 20 minutes and then I can stop, but by the time I get up to 20 minutes, I've reached that stage where I feel like I can run forever.…
  • I second this! I have one of those 24 oz camelbak bottles and I go through about three or four fill-ups a day.
  • I do both! I'll run for about 25-30 mins at 5.6 mph and then I'll do 15-20 mins on the elliptical at 60-65 rpm.
  • I get all of my workout clothes from Target: I have three pairs of basketball shorts that I wear twice before washing, I have about five shirts that I wear once before washing. I have one sports bra from Victoria Secret. It was pricey, but it gives me the support I need. I'll wear it multiple times before washing; I figure…
  • Trader Joe's is the BEST. A few of my favorites include: - panko crusted tilapia - whole grain vegetable lasagna - better n' peanut butter - quinoa with vegetable melange (freezer aisle) They also have some of the best apples year round (the pink lady variety).
  • I'm a senior in college, so here's my advice: - USE THE GYM. Pretty much all colleges/universities have really nice and free gyms... take advantage! - sneak fruit out of the dining hall to keep in your room for emergencies (or just buy fruit, but that can get expensive) - make your own food when possible, that way you can…
  • I have the NewBalance N4 Pearl; it's designed specifically for women. I absolutely LOVE it; I wish I had gotten one sooner. I don't even feel the chest strap when I'm working out. EDIT - you can get it for $50 and free shipping here:…
  • I really love Beck's light beer! It's only 64 cals a bottle and it doesn't taste like water (unlike MGD 64).
  • As a 22 year old, all I can tell you is that he has to want to do it himself. The more you bring up the subject of weight, the worse it will be. My mom was on my case for YEARS, telling me that I would look so much better if I just lost 10 pounds. It really messed up my self-esteem and caused me to have a negative view of…
