A splash of milk (not creamer, not cream...milk!) helps. I drink black tea in the morning, but I have a bit of granola bar with it. Between that and the milk, I experience no nausea. It is the tannins in the tea- and protein binds them.

Not what I expected at all. Awesome post!!:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou::heart: :drinker:

Just wanted to come in and say WOW! You have done an incredible job. Very well done!

I pole dance. For the better part of the year last year I followed strong lifts 5x5 but hit a point where I had a hard time doing both without either one being negatively affected by the other. I ended up injured so I have changed things around to the benefit of my dancing. The problem I ran into is the fact that pole is…

WOW!! I too, am in awe! You are amazing. :flowerforyou:

True story: I had a dexa scan that confirmed a very lean bodyfat level for a woman. It truly didn't make my life one bit better or solve any problems or make me feel better about myself. I was clearly very lean and now I had a number to put on it. Then I busted my *kitten* and overtime saw changes in my body that were…

Best thread ever!!

That is SO super cool!!! Congratulations!!:drinker:  :flowerforyou:

Thanks for pointing this piece out. I agree with the basic point of it. Tbh, the fitness industry enrages me at times because in order to look 'fit', many woman have to do things that are anything but healthy, but nobody seems willing to admit this. What is the difference between a woman netting 900 calories through…

LOVED reading this!! You've done an incredible job and you look fabulous!! WTG!!!

I have a problem with my right hip flexor when I my leg is bent and I move it laterally. It involves the tendons getting stuck on each other. Do you think it's something like that? It is called, internal snapping hip syndrome. The stretching greatly helps.

The single biggest factor that affects muscle soreness for me is newness of the routine- how adapted my body is. I had to take a couple of weeks off of lifting and when I went back I have been as sore as hell doing a similar routine with slightly lower weights. Before that break I was going heavier for weeks on end and not…

You are a bombshell and you are completely rocking that bikini!!

Mirey, you are beautiful inside and out!

I have a big huge thigh gap that is never going to go away. Unattractive and unfeminine are not words I would use to describe my legs, but hey, if that is how the op and others feel, then there it is. It's probably a good thing she doesn't have one. I, on the other hand, have legs that have done and continue to do great…

Congrats on all of your successes, Sara! You are a ROCKSTAR!!!:flowerforyou:

On leg day, my main lift is either squats or deadlifts. I warm up with 5 minutes on a spin bike, weighted lunges (not super heavy, but heavy enough to get everything warmed up), then the main lift, then weighted split squats, single leg-deadlifts, weighted glute bridges or hip thrusts, and standing cable kickbacks. If I'm…

I can really relate to your post, zen82. I always struggle with goals, because my goals are not weight related, or even bodyfat related- so there aren't measurable things that keep me going. I also am careful about my food goals (I don't even log food) because while I don't have a disordered eating past, I do believe I…

I'm curious about other people's opinions on this as well! I have always preferred cardio to weight lifting, but I do both. Doing both can be a real balancing act depending on what you are doing. I pay for it either way, but it is worth it to me. By pay for it, I mean, for a long time I had to give my cardio endeavors the…

I like this.

I do both, so I can only speak for myself, I actually enjoy zumba. I don't get enjoyment out of weights. I kick my own *kitten* in the weight room and there is nothing fun about it- looking at the results is fun though. Zumba is for the fun of it. People do things that they get something out of- whatever that may be. For…

<Some of us do naturally have a thigh gap. It doesn't necessarily mean we are anorexic looking. In my case, I think it has something to do with how my legs are set in the socket. I am slim, I am lean, I DO have muscle, I DO have an *kitten*, and I don't have wide hips. In terms of whether it is possible or not- that really…

My biggest goal is to maintain balance and keep a zen approach to my fitness. I'm horrible with specific fitness goals because my motivation doesn't tend to work that way. I know...lame, but at this point in my life, that is how it is. If I have to nail down some specific, tangible goals other than that, it would be: - to…

You look stunning!!! Incredible job!!

WOW!!! You look amazing!!!

You may have weak transverse abdominus. The TA muscle acts almost like a belt pulling the abdominal area in. Look up exercises that isolate and strengthen it and you may see improvement if that is what it is.

How long has it been since your last baby? Definitely look into exercises that will help the diastasis recti. Ab vacuums are your friend!! Imo, the tummy problem looks most likely due to the ab separation. The uterus shrinks down fairly quickly, but when the muscles are stretched past their limit, they do not hold things…

100% agree! When I was in college I took part in a nutrition peer advising program for the student health center. The point was to advise students in basic nutrition and even back then (a whopping 15+ years ago), what you are saying was the message that we tried so hard to hammer home. The point is that a well-rounded diet…

Yes!!! I completely agree!! My husband had no problem with our sons playing with dolls. No big deal really. My oldest had one in preparation of his younger brother being born and my youngest had one to match when he was 2. Two year old boys have no sense of 'baby dolls are for girls' and if they did it would be because…

I'm one that does both. I really don't love lifting though. In fact, part of me hates it- it is uncomfortable, boring, and often leaves me hobbling around like an old lady. I'm working on my negative attitude and having a great community at my gym really helps keep me doing it. It never hurts to be stronger and lifting…
