  • I know what you mean. I was always thin (120-130) until my early 30s when I took a medication that made me gain weight. I ended up a size 14 and hated it. I finally started losing it at age 38 and was at a good weight at 40. I am fit now with a good body fat percentage, but I have accepted that I have a somewhat different…
  • This depends on your genetics, how much of your breast volume is due to breast tissue vs. fat, and how your body distributes fat. I was always sort of busty, like the other women in my family. When very thin, size two and 115 pounds, I was a 32DD. (My aunt was super skinny and much bustier than that back in the 70s.) When…
  • Panache and Chantelle sports bras are wonderful and come in large cup sizes and small bands. (Between the two, I prefer Chantelle.)
  • You're probably not hungry. Lots of people aren't hungry in the morning. Try not eating breakfast, or eat it later. (Do hydrate, though.) Wait to eat when you are truly hungry. Eating when not hungry does not usually avoid being hungry later.
  • Eat more for dinner. Make sure you get enough protein - at least 20% of the calories should come from protein. Play with your meal timing. Try having a small snack / mini meal early and then your real dinner later. Also try the opposite-- full dinner at 6 and then a small snack later. Just plan ahead so it is not…
  • I was just going to post the same thing. I use the "skip lacing" method. https://www.on-running.com/en-us/news/tags/the-6-best-ways-to-lace-your-running-shoes
  • Obviously a 300 calorie deficit is more than you can handle. Be less aggressive. Go with a smaller deficit, like 150. It's difficult to lose those last five pounds. Settle for 1-2 pounds a month. Focus more on how your clothes fit than what the scale says. And is your goal 109 or 99 pounds? You said 5 pounds, but others…
  • Set smaller goals and focus on the progress you're making. Reward yourself every 5-10 pounds. Take measurements. Try on your old too tight clothes from time to time. (Size changes can happen more quickly than weight changes, and sometimes only a very small amount can make your clothes fit better.) Don't think too much…
  • I agree. High fat foods and sugary foods cause me problems. After I cut out sugar (which I have since re-introduced, but in smaller quantities and only for dessert as part of a meal with protein), my IBS problems almost disappeared. I hardly ever have any problems anymore, and when I do, I am not usually surprised.
  • I posted in the wrong thread, so below is a re-post. I finally lost two more pounds. (I have to confess I have been trying all that much the last several weeks, so I am thrilled with two pounds.) SW for this challenge: 154 Current weight: 152.2 I have lost another half-inch from my waist. I think five more pounds will put…

  • Most have a high chance of causing weight gain as well as other problems. Also, over time they can lose effectiveness. So work on the causes of your anxiety and your coping skills so you won't need the anxiolytic for long.
  • My favorite is Chocolove. I also like Vosges, Divine, Dolfin, Salazon, Bissinger's.... World Market and Whole Foods have good selections.
  • I used to be this way about food. Most food grossed me out. I hated eating (anything chewy like meat was the worst! Also soft foods like bananas and cereal.) and even worse, seeing other people eat or people seeing me eat. I had a very limited list of acceptable foods. I was quite under-weight, though, and forced myself to…
  • As often as you'd like. Regardless of whether it is weekly or daily, just get used to fluctuations. I think daily is better because if you weigh yourself only once a week, while you miss out on some upward fluctuations, you probably also miss some downward fluctuations and might have the impression you haven't lost when…
  • Down 1.5 pounds to 154. Fewer than ten pounds to go!
  • 155.5. So only 4.5 pounds, but one inch off my hips and a half inch from bust and under-bust which is more than I would expect. I think my final goal will be 145.
  • 1. Last Thursday I forgot to feed my cat before I left for work. (Not only that, but I also didn't give him as much food for his midnight snack as usual the night before.) When I got home, his water bowl was completely dry and his food bowl was empty and he was HANGRY! He ended up eating too fast and throwing it up. :'( 2.…
  • Just eat chocolate! I eat a few squares of dark chocolate every day. The total calories is usually 75, but sometimes I have a few extra for a total of 150. (It is best to stick to dark.)
  • Your stomach doesn't look bad to me. It looks like you are sticking out your stomach and rear end. Just correcting your posture would probably help give your belly the look you want. Most universities offer student counseling services. Please avail yourself of the opportunity.
  • In the photos, it appears that her bust and hip measurements are toughly equal, and her waist is at least ten inches smaller. That is the definition of hourglass figure. Hourglass figures come in all sizes. It's about proportion, not size. OP, you are not wide. You have a very nice figure. Stop focusing on what others have…
  • I'm still stuck at 156. I've been going out more on the weekends than usual, though, so I am pretty sure I have 1-2 pounds of bloat/water weight. I have lost a full inch from my hips in the past month, and my old "fat pants" now fit very well, so I am doing something right!
  • I agree with thise who said you should eat more. Obviously, 1200 is not enough. Also add exercise which will allow you to eat a little more and also could help with your emotional problems. Speaking of which, you need to address your emotional issues stat if you want to lose weight and keep it off. Find a good counselor,…
  • I agree. In the 19th (and probably earlier) century, this was not uncommon. Horsehair was also used as stuffing. Plus, hair is the human equivalent to feathers, and those are used for stuffing all the time. The only down side is I think it would take a very long time to get enough hair to stuff a pillow.
  • What you said about your ex seems like a red flag to me. Every guy who has told me I was too good for him was correct. This guy is probably right, too, especially since you said you felt like he didn't love you enough when you were together. So keep your mind open to other possibilities while you continue to get hotter!…
  • Very observant. I had not thought of that parallel. I LOATHED Penny. She was ruining her husband's and child's lives with her narcissism and selfishness. And did you remember from the first episode featuring Penny, her husband and one or more family members invested their entire life savings on her surgery and the…
  • 10-12 years ago a new restaurant opened where I lived. They had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken that I absolutely loved. I got a little obsessed with it and ate a large one (and it was very large) for lunch almost every day for about two months. I lost several pounds during that time period, I think almost ten pounds.…
  • Yes. I eat dark chocolate every day. My favorite is Chocolove orange peel in dark chocolate. Not only is it delicious and I love the texture from the crunchy bits of orange peel, it helps me meet my nutrients for the day. Three little squares have 4 g fiber, 1 g protein, 6.5% of US RDA for vitamin C, 1% calcium, and 2.5%…
