@ KCGGIRL, LOL, I love that thought..."Did you get off the couch?" I think the same thing when people tell me that I can't count my miles if I walk it. Well if I ran 3 and wanna walk 1 to hit 4 miles for the day, I'll count my miles. A Mile is a Mile.

A.loha, I would rest for at least three days prior to your race. I just ran a 5k in March and three days prior to the race I forced myself to relax and focused on stretching out my muscles and my diet to prepare for the race. What if you just make your own burrito, in a healthier and ligher way? Make your our salsa, grill your chicken with cumin and chili powder, get light sour cream and light cheese then add black beans and you could have a burrito for half the calories. Experiment with the spices that they add to create your even better…

Maybe comparing your before and now pictures will help you see a change. This really helps me notice tiny differences and keep on track. I tend to give up very easily if I can't see progress. Good luck

Once again I'm in. I feel short of my goal last week my .75 miles. I fully intended to complete it but my son ended up in the ER Friday night due to an allergic reaction! In the past I used my HRM while doing Chalean and burned about 250 calories. I am about 150 lbs, 5' 5'. I would use a HRM while working out to find out your calorie burn. -Aloha-

Try find one low in sugar and high in protein. It is best to buy whey powder and make your own. If you visit one of your local vitamin stors, GNC, Vitamin world etc. the clerk should be able to help you out. Good luck, na firemama
