  • I am trying to follow the meal plan diligently for 21 Day Fix, but am going to start on Turbo Fire DVDs next week - just waiting on them to arrive in the mail! Add me!
  • Ok...I feel the need to comment on this thread to simply state that not ALL coaches are the same. (I am NOT a coach, but was once involved with Mary Kay so I understand the idea behind the BB business.) Like most of you, I have tried multiple Beach Body programs (30 Day Shred, 21 Day Fix, Hip Hop Abs, and I'm waiting on…
  • I've been using this site on and off again (unfortunately, mostly off) since 2008. My initial weight loss was great, a solid 40 lbs. I started around 270 and got down to a consistent 230, sometimes dipping lower. And then a year and a half ago, I somehow managed to get below 215 for the first time since 2004, was buying…
  • I was in the same position, Cathy! Stick to it, it's a pretty rewarding feeling once you've accomplished it! :)
  • Thanks! Yea, my schedule is always so erratic that the 55lbs in a YEAR doesn't seem feasible. However, I'm back on track with logging and making healthy decisions and I know you can be to! Hang in there, keep moving forward, and we'll get there in due time.
  • Congrats to you! What a difference all around. Keep up the good work!
  • I made it through Day 17 of the 30DS, but I moved and live upstairs. I have a weird complex about sounding like a herd of animals to my downstairs neighbors, so I really don't like to work out at home any more. It's unfortunate, because it was cheaper and easier for me to get at least some sort of daily activity in when I…
  • Thanks for the advice! I think I really do need to try something different with my food choices. I technically work three different jobs right now, so time is always a limited factor, but I think that plays a huge part in plateaus as well. :) Thanks, and best of luck to you as well!
  • Congrats!!! I loved reading your post and seeing your pictures. I'm 5'8 and 26 y/o. I started my weight loss journey at 269lbs in 2008....today I'm 227. It's almost halfway to my first major goal of 180! (That's the lowest weight I remember from when I started college in 2004!) I've fallen off the wagon quite a few times,…
  • One of my professors was just mentioning her findings on this as well. We were talking about craving coffee, tomatoes, chocolate, etc. All having pretty high acidic levels. I heard you can just add a bit of baking soda to water and it helps balance things out. I'm really interested to see what the articles say that you've…
  • Check your "Daily Activity" Level and make sure it's right. I had a similar issue where I used to work 4-5days a week in a retail job, so I was on my feet for about 30 hours a week and my level was "lightly active." I'm now a graduate student and spend a lot of time in class and working in an office, so clearly my daily…
  • I think you do what works best with your lifestyle and fitness level. I was going to try my hardest to stick to 30 Days but with classes and performances and life I had to take 2 days off in the first 20 days. Not too shabby, but still not consistently 30 days. Jillian suggests doing it every day so that you force your…
  • Ok guys (is it all ladies in the group or do we have a few men folk lurking about?), I know I promised pictures, so I created a little comparison. First off, I did a smashing job on the water today, as expected. Food was a little wonky as I have to be careful what I eat prior to a performance. I'm sure I was well under my…
  • Good afternoon Fit Life Friends! I'm glad to see that even though we're all faced with stresses, challenges, and sickness that we're sticking to it! :flowerforyou: Here's to all you pushing through and making those great strides to a healthy lifestyle! Yesterday my food choices weren't terrible, but they weren't great. I…
  • Weigh in today! I'm so happy to see all of the wonderful results from the group! Here are my results! Last week: 231.4 This week: 229.4 That's a 2# loss and I'm finally out of the 230s! I'm so thrilled to finally see a decent loss. For those that judged my dedication and commitment to a healthy lifestyle based on a very…
  • :flowerforyou: Evening everyone! Well to recap on yesterday, I came home and did exactly what I didn't want to do, and that was pass out early (6:00pm) without getting a workout in, wake up in the late evening (10:00pm), and then have a difficult time getting back to bed (1:30am). :grumble: Oh well, I did get to stay in…
  • Denver, CO! I'm a Florida girl originally, Northern FL and I absolutely LOVE it out here in Colorado. Not only is it beautiful, but the winters are pretty mild - it gets cold but it's nothing like the winters they get on the east coast. Best of luck in your search!
  • Checking in for today. I managed to get roughly 2.5 hours of sleep last night. Not exactly the best preface for a motivated and healthy day. I'm already in workout clothes and when I get home around 4:30 I plan on FINALLY preparing all of the fresh foods I bought last sunday, enjoying a light salad for dinner, working out,…
  • Snarky: Haha, I'm back in the dreaded coffee shop I was in last night - only dreaded due to the delicious lattes - but I've got my bottle of water filled and in front of me. I'm 2/3 of the way finished with the paper, which is great, but it's still going to be a late night. :indifferent: I'd like to share my blonde…
  • Good afternoon friends! I'm glad to see that everyone is having a great day! I finished Day 2, Level 2 of the 30 Day Shred today. Boy is my body feeling it today! I'm just proud of myself for simply waking up early enough to actually get in a workout before the craziness of my day gets the best of me. I'm finishing up…
  • Like times a million! :flowerforyou: Thank you for words of kindness and motivation. :drinker:
  • The 30 Day Shred consists of a 20 minute circuit training work out. Jillian breaks it up into 3 circuits consisting of 3 mins Strength, 2 mins Cardio, 1 min Abs. The warm up and cool-down combined are really short actually, each only lasting about 2.5 minutes. Obviously with adding in the transition of moves it adds a few…
  • Yay! I'm so happy that CozyTune has found us! She's coming to visit me for Thanksgiving out here in beautiful Colorado and we've got lots of activities and semi-healthy meals planned! Here's to great memories while staying motivated and healthy. We owe this to ourselves....ALL of us! Back to this research paper....…
  • Checkin in for today. I'm at 7 glasses of water so far and finished my Day 1, Level 2 of the 30 Day Shred. I had to stop quite a few times and I've got a bad right wrist so the planks were a bit difficult. I'm excited about this level as it's new to me and I'll really be able to push myself. These next two weeks are going…
  • Already got in my workout and reached my 8 glasses of water a day. I'm actually trying to shoot for 12 glasses a day and I've already started noticing my more frequented trips to the ladies room. :noway: Guess it's worth it though. I was trying to get my best friend to join the group but she's really new to MFP and I don't…
  • Corinne: Thanks so much! I love what I do and I'm ready for the what the future will bring, but you're right. When it comes to my weight loss, I've got to move forward, not dwell on what I've done in the past. Have a great Sunday! PositivePower: Thank you for starting, or rather inviting new members, to what I can see will…
  • Hi everyone! So, if it's not too late, I would really love to join this group. I've been a member of MFP for years now, however, I've yet to ever reach my goal weight. I need a group to help keep me motivated and accountable, so please, count me in! A little bit about me: I'm 25 (for another month or so) and a graduate…
  • Most likely an Irish Coffee (Jameson & Bailey's) to help me get through writing this damned research paper. That or the last Woodchuck FALL cider that's left in my fridge....or maybe both? Yum! :drinker: Happy Friday everyone!
  • Just finished Day 7, Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred. My right quad is killing me today...not sure what I did to it yesterday but ouch. Oh well. I pushed through and I'm really looking forward to FINALLY (after 2 years of owning the DVD) moving on to Level 2. Thanks again everyone!
  • Being able to see my collar bones without having to distort my shoulders and neck. Inner thighs would be nice but I can't remember a time when they didn't touch. Just loss two pairs of older jeans to the constant thigh rubbing. Oh well - excuse for shopping when I've lost a bit more weight. Hip bones/flatter stomach.…
