I'm 63 and have been doing stronglifts for 6 weeks. After the first workout my thighs really hurt, but I did the second workout and have not had any pain since. Make sure your form is correct, if not you will really feel the pain.

Hey I'm 63 and have been doing the 5x5 for 5 weeks now and I have noticed a big difference in strength and how my body responds. I would say keep it up and when your squating 300lbs you'll be glad you did.

I have found that you can do a lot of exercises on the bowflex BUT I find when I'm doing heavy lifting I pick the whole bowflex off the floor. I have to stand on it in order to keep in on the ground. Dutch oven cobblers are easy and great, just use hot coals from the fire, put some on the bottom and top of the oven.

I'm 63 and started the stronglife 5x5 workout 2 weeks ago. The first workout went fine until the next day. I could hardly walk after doing all the squats. Now no problems. I think you have to listen to what your body is telling you but don't resign yourself to the rocking chair yet.
