You can sing the theme to "Gilligan's Island."

You were a member of the Beatle's fan club.

You ever told someone to "look it up in their Funk and Wagnalls".

You watched Captain Kangaroo.

You ate dinner at the Dinner table as a Family

Red Hots, Hot Tamales. Otter-Pops.

You put playing cards in the spokes of your bike because it sounded cool.

You got up early on Saturday mornings to watch The Flintstones.

You'd go to the dime store for taffy sheets, wax lips, candy cigarettes (and pretend to smoke them), Fire Sticks, Green Apple Sticks, Razzles, Sweet-Tarts and Chik-o-stiks.

You ever watched the Ed Sullivan Show with your parents.

You had "groovy" Tie dye shirts.

You ripped up your bell bottoms and sewed patches all over them

You thought the Monkees were a real group.

You played Candyland.

You had a Jungle Gymn.

You remember Sonny and Cher when they were together

You were pissed you were too young to go to Woodstock .

You had Playdough, Hotwheels and Lincoln Logs.

You knew how to do "The Twist" and "The Pony".

You played Twister at parties.

You remember full service gas stations.

You tried to learn macrame.

The smell of Crayola crayons, school paste and Playdough takes you back in time...

"Say goodnight ****"

You bought singles-45 rpm records

You remember Kurt Russell when he was in Disney movies.

Mini skirts.

Surfer culture- Frankie and Annette, the Beach Boys...

You owned at least one black light poster.

You had a Superball and a Magic-8 ball and a Spirograph and a Mr. Potato Head

Born in the 80s, really grew up in the 90s, but I had/remember all of these things very distinctly. Minus having a dime store. But I do remember being able to buy soda in a bottle, from a machine, for a dime. And the Beach Boys may not have been new, but my grandpa was into them and so I listened to them a lot. Actually have had a "best of" disc that I put together playing in my CD player for nearly four months, minus three weeks during which time I had McCartney in there.

It's crazy how so many of the things between the 60s and 90s were so similar, whereas I would bet anyone born in the 90s at any point, practically, would hardly remember ANY of those things.

They're certainly not politically correct enough. I mean ... candy cigarettes? Heaven forbid!

Born in 1954, so I was 18 in 1972. I was in the first group of 18 year olds that could vote.

Voted for Richard Nixon. Don't judge me!!
