  • I have zumba on my wii and love it, although it is a bit dodgy at sensing my movements so i have to docys on just being active rather than doing what it thinks is right. Its fun, and you can choose to just do the songs you like so you get good at them unlike in a class. I'm way to uncoordinated to ever want to go to class…
  • You lost 7lbs in the last three weeks? So what stall are you talking about? Seems like you're losing just fine.
  • A fitbit is a pedometer, it counts your steps, and some of them track sleep as well. It's designed to be work all day. A HRM is a heart rate monitor that is designed to be worn while "exercising" to see your calorie burn. a HRM is good if you want to track progress and intensity of what you do for "exercise. A Pedometer is…
  • I have NO idea what farenheit is in Celsius but don't forget you can also keep things HOT to prevent bacteria growth, if you have a bain marie just lying around your house lol
  • I don't drink it, but I do use it on my face like a toner... Works well for me.
  • I was given pills for that... the problem is you have to be able to keep the pill down for it to work. I used to get revolting, debilitating migraines, but even though I couldn't find a pattern with my hormones (I always thought they were triggered by stress) once I got pregnant I stopped getting them! Now I'm on the depo…
  • I'm going to go against the grain (of the comments in this thread) and say I LOVE the your tea brand. They do lots of different teas, I've got 4 varieties in my cupboard right now! But I also love green tea, and have three or four different "flavoured" green teas too. Green tea and jasmine is the best!! I DEFINITELY belief…
  • Don't open the packet. See if you can get a refund. You don't need laxatives to lose weight.
  • I watched the documentary and was disappointed. Nothing new in it. I mean its good I guess if that's the first time someone has seen something that has taught them something about nutrition, but for anyone who's done any research (including just watching similar documentaries) there was nothing new. Plus it bored me…
  • 6 hours is all day now? What are those of us that work 10 or more hours doing? Those doing 12 hour shifts are working two days at once? 6 hours is not even close to all day.
  • The fact that they need to create new words to describe what their products (and their ingredients) should really warn you that it's all nonsense. If it did anything real they could use real words. I know someone selling it. Both her and her best friend say they feel great doing it, but it's only been a month. You will…
  • I always measure raw. It makes more sense. If something comes up as "fried" for example, you don't know if it's deep fried or shallow fried and whether its using 1 tablespoon of oil or 10 tablespoons so raw is just easier.
  • 10 eggs a day!!!! My god! I'd be sick of eggs after three days!
  • I would stay just stop counting calories! I mean of course listen to your doctor over any advice you get here, but I wouldn't bother with counting calories. Listen to your body. If you're hungry/tired (although tiredness is a hard thing to gauge while pregnant, as in the first trimester you will likely be exhausted anyway)…
  • I always use raw, it just makes more sense to me seeing as you can't be always be sure of how the "cooked" entries were cooked. As long as you use the raw database entry when using raw food, and the cooked entry if you're weighing cooked food you will probably be fine though. Also don't use the cooked measurements because…
  • I just finished my first week of 5:2 so it's too early to really say much. It all went fine though and I feel like I can't eat as much as I used to already. Gave it a try after reading "the fast diet" which is probably a good place to start if you're interested.
  • STRAYA! I live north of Canberra. Seems we are hugely out numbered here.
  • I'm guessing that the bagged spinach is because they put nitrogen in the bags to stop it from spoiling (Or so I've read) and the spinach can be much much older than what you would ordinarily buy, therefore some nutrient value would be lost. Doesn't matter to me though. I love my spinach and I can only get it bagged.
  • Most exercise is fine during a complication free pregnancy. Obivously if anything arises the rules will be different but you would discuss that with your doctor. Of course, as always, listen to your body. If you are doing something you shouldn't you'll probably know about it! If you've got an iphone there an app called…
  • You seem to have hamburgers A LOT, which is fine IF they fit into your plan/calories, which clearly in your case they don't. Lots of people have given you suggestions to lower the calories, but personally if I can't have a hamburger in all its greasy glory, then I don't want a healthy version. Not sure if it's the same…
  • Nope. I'm sure its true for some peopple, but I believe your body is doing all it can to NOT lose weight when breast feeding, so if we were to experience a famine we would have some energy stored to be able to continue breast feeding. I gained a lot of weight in the first year of breast feeding, and have really struggled…
  • That's not quite right. If you're doing exercise outside of your normal daily activity then you SHOULD be logging it as exercise. However you do not include your incedental exercise that is a part of your job as that is covered by you selecting "highly active" So only add in anything that you do above beyond your normal day
  • I gained a lot of weight in the first year of my daughter life. She's almost two now, and I'm still breast feeding and struggling to lose the weight even though I eat better than I did before I got pregnant. I get so jealous of the people who find breast feeding helps the weight fall off because I'm certain that I'm the…
  • Everyone will burn different amounts of calories when breastfeeding, so its a bit tricky. I entered it for a while, but quickly decided it wasn't worth guessing. 300 calories wasn't going to make a huge difference to me. I say listen to your body! It will tell you if you're eating too much or not enough.
  • Most of us are "on again - off again" because it IS really hard to stay motivated all the time. As long as you keep getting back on it things will get easier with time, and you'll be ""off again" less often. It's better to be "on again - off again" than to just be always off. Think about where you would be if you hadn't…
  • I put them on my yoghurt each morning (along with a whole range of other things) and I add them to muffins/breads that I bake. On the rare occasion I have a smoothie I add them to it as well. I just add them to lots of things.
  • Nope, simply because a lot of entries don't have things like potassium listed. So while I might have logged foods with enough potassium if it isn't listed in their entries its going to say I'm short.
  • I have a 2 year old daughter. I had really bad morning sickness when I was pregnant, which resulted in me losing (and then regaining) 13kgs while pregnant. So at 9 months pregnant I was back at my prepregnacy weight. Sadly over the first year I gained 30kgs! 20kgs left now to get back to prepregnancy weight and another 10…
