  • I came into this thread expecting someone to be using chicken legs as a metaphor for their own legs.... :| *backs away slowly*
  • I don't see any reason why it wouldn't but I don't make the watches :p . The same way it syncs with cardio machines it should sync to a new watch. You just wont have any of your old data.
  • 5'3 teetering at 147 right now. Was 144 in high school. Dropped to 130ish in college. Now it's all back plus some and I can't seem to shake it. I know I've built up a lot of muscle and my body is shaped differently than years past. Would probably like to get down to about 130-135.
  • I will usually splurge on the chips and make up for it at the gym. However, today I just tried these zucchini things (http://snapzcrisps.elsstore.com/) and they were soooo good. I didn't expect it at all. I also love Good Health's veggie sticks (personally I think a lot of other brands are gross >.<) The Special K BBQ…
  • Grande nonfat latte. Runs me a buck 30. Better than a can of coke and boosts me way higher!
  • Just added you all. I'm 24 and have gotten mushy over the last couple of years and I hate it! I was never toned but now my pants don't fit! Anyway trying to lose about 20lbs or at least get back into my own pants!
  • I did the whole jogging/ victory smoke after for a while. Didn't do me any good. I had quit for a couple of months (with plenty of cheat cigs mixed in- including a whole pack 2 nights before my first 5k!) while getting ready for my first 5k. Needless to say it was rough. I quit again this past March and began…
  • I've tried coffee a couple times this week and even though I felt a little like Jessie Spano from Saved By the Bell on the elliptical, I did get a lot of workout in. Probably more than I would've if I hadn't had it. I teach so around 3:40-4 (when I arrive at the gym) is right about the time I would get home and doze off on…
  • You guys are all so awesome. Thanks for the suggestions, I look forward to trying them out!

  • ^ THIS!! One of my favorite times to weigh myself. Even if I've already weighed myself for the day/week/whenever. Maybe it's just a sick curiosity of mine but at times it's been very shocking! TMI? Sorry.
  • Happens to me from time to time. Especially after a long or difficult run. Usually because I'm starting to get hungry or I haven't drank enough water. Never hurts to see the doctor. I'm just kind of used to it now because it's my own fault that it happens and there are times when it happens because I haven't eaten and then…
  • Thank you! You are awesome.
  • btw- added everyone like a mad woman.
  • same name here as there, daynes23!
  • Ran my 2nd 5k this past Sunday. My first was April 2013 and I didn't do much running in between. The first time I just wanted to finish the darn thing and I would be happy. This time I wanted to do a little better and I adopted the mantra "It's a run, not a race". My best times on flat courses are about 37mins so I knew I…
  • Thanks for the replies. Jim, you may be right. I usually do the crunches last, I will definitely have to switch it up. Princess, I think I need to heed some of your advice as well. I have a tendency to do too much too fast too soon. I've probably been taking it overboard even though I don't feel sore and keep trying to…
  • Thank you so much for this post. I'm about 5 weeks into a new journey and have been feeling a bit defeated. I better start taking some pictures!
  • Yup. For a long time I tried to run while keeping with the habit and although I could make it through easy short distance runs (>3miles) I would be wheezy for hours afterwards. I couldn't laugh without going into a coughing fit. I thought it was because I was never good at running and just out of shape. Here comes the TMI…
  • That's why I'm so confused! The switch from regular to diet is the only change in my diet! I just don't understand why I'm not losing the way I did last spring! So weird.
  • *waves* I followed! @thinksmalldreambig
  • I quit not so long ago (for the 300th time). I don't remember the insomnia too much. But keep it up! I know you can push through it!
  • Way to go! Thanks for sharing. Congrats!
  • Arctrainer! Just got turned on to it last week. Can be like a stairclimber or elliptical depending on the settings. Sometimes if I'm in a good rhythm and there's a good song on I feel like I'm dancing! Then I get a big smile on my face and think "I shouldn't be having this much fun right now!"
  • You may need to strengthen your legs up a little bit if they're hurting you, it's also a possibility that your form while kicking could be poor. I would suggest maybe using a kick board while you do laps so that you can catch your legs up a bit so your arms don't have to do all the work. Wall kicks are always an option…
  • HEY OH! Currently in Baltimore for 22 more days and then it's back to the greatest state in the union!
  • I think I got all of you! 23, 24 in 22 days! >.< Was 144 back in HS, dropped to 128 (maybe lower) and have been steadily gaining it all back. My highest was 148 and I would love to get back into the 120s even if it's the high 120s.
  • But he's so soft and cuddly! Plus he can reach those tricky spots on my back!
  • I can't dream of exercising without having eaten before hand (30-60 mins) even if it's just a piece of toast with some PB. I can't do it on an empty stomach. I would suggest maybe signing up for a class in the afternoon or evening after you've gotten some food in your stomach. Or just learn to love breakfast! Even if it's…
