Just pay the $10 and try out the gym OP. Once you reach a certain fitness level and PF no longer fits your needs then you can move on to a diff gym.

I'm not a fit person but I wouldn't mind working out next to people who take lifting seriously. I think it's actually helpful. You might learn something. However I will be joining YouFit this summer. Mainly because I'm frugal. As a beginner I think it suits me well.

Thank you for all the welcomes! :flowerforyou: I'm considering Lying Squat over Barbell Squats. It looks scary right now and maybe using dumbells for Overhead press. May will be a month of trial and error. I want to focus on form and setting a routine first.

Good to know! I'm more of a walker :P Doesn't the Bodymedia track your arm movement only though? Do you set it up for walking/running before a work out? I've been using the MapMyWalk app. It's based on distance and time.

Thanks for asking! I was wondering the same thing. I wonder if 2x week of short heavy lifting is a good start with a few days of cardio for fat loss and muscle maintenance.
