That happened to me at WW...I can't tell you how many times (even at goal) people would say "You do NOT look like you weigh that much" ::shrugs:: I guess we just "carry it well"? I've been on the scale twice since January--am doing more weights so don't want to get discouraged if it goes up. I got on the scale yesterday…

Chickfila! Burgers & Fries...fried chicken (eww)...basically anything fried. Once a yr I eat fried shrimp and I usually ask myself "why did I do this again?" b/c I can't even taste the shrimp!

I don't think they're work appropriate, especially at a bank. My rule of thumb is "If you have to ask 'is this work appropriate?" then it probably isn't.

Agreed...the scale is a biotch ;-) I would go by how your clothes fit...I've heard maintenance is hard than losing, but my trainer swears that once you get where you want to be, it's easy...

I have my first one on Saturday! EEEK! So excited :)

I completely hear you! When I was at my lowest (147), I had cut out everything--sweets, soda, white carbs...you name it! I didn't feel deprived (except for the occasional Diet Coke craving) but now that I'm 10 lbs heavier...and can't lose...it's been so frustrating. I just started seeing results, but I think it's a mix of…

oatmeal! keeps me full and it's something quick and warm--today i added a tablespoon of pb, 1 tablespoon of chocolate granola and 2 tsp of light brown sugar--really peanut buttery so may change it up for next time but was nice to have something diff.

For me, planning ahead works best. I don't log it all at once, I log as I eat/drink but I like to plan out my meals for the week so I know what I have and what's available to me. Staying motivated is tough--I'm not going to lie. My best friend is doing MFP too and she's a motivator. I also feel better when I eat healthier…

Sense of humor, kindness, genuine-ness, being down to Earth...and nice arms don't hurt ;-) good teeth too! I'm a sucker for Crest commercial teeth.

They help w/ portion control but always leave me hungry so I have to do something like steamed veggies or a salad on the side. They're also PACKED with sodium so I wouldn't eat too many. When I did WW, they recommended no more than one a wk.

My most recent ex said it about 2-3 months in...and even though I was ready to say it I was TERRIFIED. We were watching a movie, and I was half sleeping on his chest, and he whispered it in my ear...and I panicked and pretended to be asleep! Real smooth, I know. He said it again a few weeks later and he mumbled it, so I…

I've done peanut butter (not my favorite)...craisins and almonds, brown sugar and cinnamon, one of the trainers i spoke to adds instant coffee to his, or protein powder...

my best friend died (he was a healthy athlete-he had an enlarged heart and we didn't know it--his blood pressure spiked, and it tripped his heart)--anyways, he died out of the blue, and i was miserable and life was too short to be this miserable--and i could CONTROL this. haven't looked back since :) i worry that i will…

I hate when people judge what I eat...or if they don't say something, they give me the 'look'. I've had freinds/family that say stuff like, "Is that on your diet?" and I told them, "Well, first of all, this isn't a diet, it's a lifestyle. And second of all, you are one to talk--you don't know what a portion is or what…

Count me in!

I haven't read anyone's response--but my own experience is that I'm ALWAYS starving after eating them...plus it's got a ton of sodium and there is nothing really nutritious in there for you. I think it's better for you to make your own from scratch, break it into portions and freeze it and then grab that for lunch. There…

reach out to baypathgradlyns--she motivated her fiancee and he's doing great now. not sure if her profile is public or not but she wrote a blog all about it :)

I'm a big fan of grits the morning after ;-) ...and a fountain diet coke w/ ice...and if it's REALLY bad 3 chicken biscuit mini's from chickfila (they're not as bad as the large one). YUM.

I know I feel better when I get up early and work out--I have more energy then if I went at night, I have more energy throughout the day, it improves my mood, and most importantly--it's done and over with! I don't have to worry about how to squeeze it in during the day!! My best friend who is also on MFP (BaypathgradLyns)…

Mine is a digital food scale from Target and cost $35-$40. It reads in oz and grams. Best thing I ever bought. I weigh EVERYTHING. Definitely worth the investment!

good shoes are an absolute must. make sure you go to a running store that will fit you. they'll most likely cost $100. once you find a pair you like, you can order them online cheaper ;-). i good sports bra! (sorry)--haha, but it's true!! Reflective gear if you're going to run at night...and personally, I only run in tech…
