• Freeze-dried fruit, popcorn, apple, banana, five hershey kisses, jello, cereal (honeycombs, crispix, fruit loops) can all be portioned out to 100 calories
• I definitely understand this feeling. Hang in there, and try to keep your head up. When I feel down about how clothes fit, and the type of stores that carry my size, I like to treat myself to new shoes/handbag/jewelry/make-up etc. Something that's not size-dependent!
• Welcome, I'll send you a request as well. This is a great place for support and motivation, I wish you the best on your journey! Also, I would definitely recommend adding some info to your profile (you don't have to answer every question, but a little bit goes a long way.)
• Welcome! This is a great place to find support and motivation. :-) Don't forget, it's about progress, not perfection. You're beautiful the way you are, this is about building better habits and making healthier choices.

• Do you have a fitness tracker with a heart rate monitor? If not, you should invest in one. (Fitbit is a great option, very user-friendly.) I bet you're burning more calories than you realize. You'll be surprised.
• I was tired of buying plus-sized clothes, and needed to get in shape. When my last pair of "fat" jeans wore out on the inner thighs (as big girl jeans tend to do), I knew something had to change. The anxiety and stress of not being able to get dressed in the morning because none of my clothes fit me was just too much. I…
• Welcome! I just added you. :-)
• That's a big milestone, no matter what people say about the BMI index. It may not be truly accurate, but for me it's a great way to gauge my progress. I'm looking forward to crossing that line back into just-plain-old-overweight again soon! Congrats!
• I find it's helpful to be accountable to other people, even if I don't know them in real life. Plus I like the gratification of people liking my daily updates and giving encouragement. Every little bit helps! Welcome friend :-)
• I'm still working on the discipline and habit building thing too. I've been up and down a lot over the last five years. Trying to make it stick this time around! Feel free to add me.
• The mirror is my biggest enemy. I want to love my reflection and be happy with where I am, but I just can't seem to do it.
• Chocolate babka, all day every day. I shudder to think about the calorie count, and I'd absolutely eat the whole loaf.
• I've been on MFP for the last six or seven years (on and off). I lost about 40 lbs in 2017-2018, but I've gained back 20 lbs in the last six months. Trying to get back on track now! Good luck on your journey, this is a great place for support and motivation.
• I agree that snacking doesn't have to be "bad" as long as it's within your calorie limit. However, if you feel like it's hindering your weight loss, maybe there are ways to cut out that pre-bedtime snack. Is there a particular place in your house (in front of the tv, at the computer, etc.) where you find you snack more?…
•
I’m not Jewish but these look good, lol.
I've been on the lookout for these new Manischewitz macaroons! Where did you find them?
• YUP. I have a fitbit, and I pace around my living room/kitchen area while I watch tv. I enjoy hitting my step goals for the day, and those numbers really motivate me to keep moving. Sometimes I'll get motivated enough to do youtube exercise videos, but mostly just getting up and walking more. It makes a difference.
• Jif Power Up bars are delicious, and have a decent amount of protein. I'm also a fan of Balance brand bars and Slimfast shakes. If you have access to a microwave during work, I highly recommend the individual flapjack and muffin cups from Kodiak. They're all fantastic, and filling!…
• Welcome! This is a great place to find a supportive community and lots of resources. Best of luck with your lifestyle changes. Eating fewer calories than you burn is simple math, but it can be really hard to execute. Take it one day at a time, step by step, and you'll start to feel the changes soon! Progress, not…
• Does your fitbit have a heart rate monitor built in? If so, I would definitely trust that more than an estimate from the internet. 388 sounds way too high.
• I get home a few hours before my husband, so I'm planning to make this orange chicken. It only takes a 2 hours in the slow cooker, after a quick pan fry. https://www.dinneratthezoo.com/slow-cooker-orange-chicken/ We also love chicken parm, and sometimes start with pre-cooked breaded chicken cutlets from our local…
• Welcome friend! I love sharing recipes too. I'm not great with exercise in general, but I love my Fitbit and work hard to keep my step count at a reasonable level.
• Just added you! I love all the random, amazing, motivated, and dedicated people I've connected with on MFP. Through all my ups and downs, good days and bad, there's always someone here to inspire me, or console me, or just make me feel like I'm not alone. Welcome friend :-)
• I've already been through three bags of the lava cake Hershey kisses. They are amazing. Someone brought the sour patch conversation hearts into work, but I was too wary to try them. If I'm gonna eat 100 calories of sugar, I'd rather it be chocolate. :-)
• It's been one week since January 31st. 1 pound loss per week is great! When you first adjust your diet, you can always expect to see a big loss for the first few weeks. It's wonderful inspiration to see those big numbers, but weight loss will slow to a more regular level after that initial drop. You're not in "survival…
• Yes! The Evol Ginger Udon Noodle meal is my absolute favorite. Followed closely by their teriyaki chicken burrito (which I've only ever seen at Target.)
• I had a nearly perfect day (in terms of calories) yesterday, then cracked open a bag of swedish fish at 10:30pm. I can always use more friends.
• I'm with you. I've been trying to find activities to make me forget my hunger for years, and have yet to be successful. I like popcorn, pita chips and dry cereal. I do keep a set of measuring cups in my desk at work to help with my portions. Or I buy the individually portioned boxes of cereal. I'm a big fan of individually…
• I'm also trying to lose 20 lbs this year, we can do this!
• This is a Stockholm based company, and it looks like their products are only available in Sweden. Boo :-(
