  • plz be sure to get it checked out medically rather than just assuming it is some thing you can get advice about here. It may be dehydration or blood pressure issues, but if you have them frequently (like my husband does), there could be more serious medical issues. Not meaning to scare you, but you definitely want to see…
  • gentle leader.....huge difference!!!
  • it's more related to really high temp cooking (e.g. stir fry).
  • for those of you get off on posting sarcastic and cruel responses to posters who often have serious questions because they just don't know, especially people who are genuinely struggling.......one word, karma.
  • cardio decreases my appetite greatly....however, weightlifting increases it
  • I do not have my fitbit synched with MFP anymore at all, it just messes it up. If you only walk, and nothing else for exercise, or you want to get a general idea of home much you have just moved around, it's fine. If you run, bike, and especially weightlift, it is useless. I keep mine on and don't use anything from the…
  • I am there too! Have been this year, and I think it is harder than losing by far. So easy for those goodies to creep in!! I am in for any adds too, as long as it is people who post and comment regularly because I do!! :-)
  • 40 here!! And dropped 40 lbs and keeping it off! Best shape of my life and not going to give in again!! It's all about weightlifting, especially for females! I also started running for the first time in my life in the last year! You have to have a kick butt attitude and be determined that you are going to make this work!!…

  • Free days are awesome!!! I have lost 40lbs and in the best shape of my life and have a free day every Saturday. Your body and mind needs a break and it keeps me going. Has not caused me problems at all and I am 40 yrs old, so to each their own!
  • Some of your favorite music that has a medium tempo is good too. Music is what I love about running, just makes it that much better, especially when you are outside on a nice day. I am a swimmer too, and always have been. Started running a year ago, and I love it. I found it hard to slow myself down enough to go farther.…
  • you gotta try them on a BLT....awesomeness. As well as on a club sandwich. I am an avocado addict!!
  • Raspberry Mojito.....
  • Yeah, that's pretty intense....I would be curled up in a ball crying!
  • I like runmeter a lot

  • My issues are chocolate and Coke. I know eliminating them does not work for me, but you have to find out what works best for you. Some people just cannot do moderation and have to stop completely. I have 2 Dove chocolate promises every night. I also don't eat back most of my exercise calories and spike my calories one day…
  • Well, let me tell ya. Just lost 35 lbs and hit my goal weight, and in the best shape of my life. SIgned up for my first triathlon, and I am not someone who is athletic or ever has been. Ran the first time IN MY LIFE about 6 months ago, and also bought a bike for the first time about 2 1/2 months ago (since a little kid).…
  • If you like it, eat it! Make it part of your day. I am almost at goal and have eaten chocolate every single day. I have 2 dove promises every night before bed and I eat a chocolate-peanut butter protein bar every day with coffee as a snack between lunch and dinner. If you deprive yourself of things you like, you will end…
  • Yes, as suggested look for clips from Ab Ripper X (from P 90 X). I have done that workout 2x a week for several months and it is killer. The whole thing together is really intense and hard for a beginner, but it can give you many examples of various things you can do.
  • I am one pound from goal, 5'3', and a little over 130 pounds. However, I do things a bit differently than others, as I eat a larger deficit during the week and spike my calories on Saturdays to be able to eat what I want or crave. It has worked great for me because I am busier during the week and don't care so much about…
  • I think where you need to put your emphasis is on your self-esteem and learning to love yourself and your body just the way you are. You are in good shape and your body fat is fine. I am not saying this to be mean at all, as I wish that someone would have said something like this to me 20 years ago, and it would have saved…
  • You are so strong and have a lot of courage for posting the before pic. I could not do it at all, even though people asked me to. I was too embarassed! Take it from someone who started on MFP on New Years Day 2012, this is soooooo worth it!! I have lost almost 35 pounds, am almost 40 and in the best shape of my entire…
  • Results from weight training take a long time, so it is all about patience and making it a long term commitment. I am only 5'3" and I weigh about 133 and I actually don't want to lose more weight. Bulking with muscle sounds and raising calories may be scary, but it is good advice if you did not start weight training…
  • Hey, I am facing the same thing here. I think it is aging related and honestly I think people, especially women, do look older when they loose a lot of weight. I am heading towards 40 also and it's difficult because facing the aging process is hard, especially when we have worked so hard to lose weight. I am trying to…
  • I have an awesome group of friend and would not be able to keep going as hard as I have been without them. Everyone likes external validation regardless of what they say. It's human nature. I have also found that the more you give, the more you recieve, as taking the time to post on others and show your true support and…
  • why would it matter if it is 10lbs of fat or 10lbs of muscle that she gained? A POUND IS A POUND!! Everyone knows that!
