Eating right, drinking PLENTY of water, and toning should all help reduce the liklihood of loose skin I've lost 70lbs in a year and my skin is still rather firm, not much hanging (exception of armpit area, but I think that will tighten up in time). Once I start toning it should be fine

With one step, one weight, one day Last year I started after trying for ages, I fell, raised, and never really got anything going. I started at 290, and now, only one year later, am at 215. I'm not there yet, but that one step, that one decision, got me from obese to overweight, and damn close to being ideal weight It…

Go alacart, add a few things and stick with a house salad and maybe a soup or something to that extent If planning for an entree, eat relatively little of your budget before you go
-
I would bake fries with them Cut them into sizes you want, add some seasoning, hot spieces, and BBQ sauce, then cook em for about 20-30 at 350. Great and delic

I love them, they satisfy my protien crave after working out, with rather little in calories
-
Thank you so much, I hope that I can help inspire in any way I can lol
-
Thank you - this is one of my biggest fears, that after Law School I will get stuck in a rut, and not have time or energy to lose the weight. I need to get it off now, as maintaining is far easier than losing. I love your method, it isn't as much a self-discipline requirement, as a competition. That is a great way to think…

So I can walk around finding the shallow girls who never cared about large me, and basically just show them what they missed out on Confidence? yep
-
I'm from your former colonies, live in New London (CT), and love tea... does that count?
-
Myndmelt - thanks, that picture was actually from the other day, no idea why I have it under older (wasn't really thinking). I'll be at that game, but don't worry, we won't win (lol) Intechpc - congratcs on finishing yours (based on ticker). Thanks for the encouragment, and Go Bucks and Badgers (only on the 2nd)
-
THANKS
-
Good morning Based on your ticker, you are in the exact position I was in last year - 290 looking for 180 While I am only halfway, I can tell you it is entirely possible, and not nearly as hard as it seems at the start - Best of luck with it Feel free to add me if you want
-
Thanks for the kind words Laurahutch21 - yeah, I already replaced it with a smaller version (also, kick some Oregon butt)
-
It's only because at that point I am leaving the parental's house to head back to school, thus allowing me to actually know how much I am eating (my parents are not exactly supportive, they have somehow decided I am starving myself) Yeah, I know, it sounds odd
-
Bunny, if you want to burn me whenever I don't enter my journal (starting in the new year) or workout on schedual, I would love that what events are you looking at? My exercise goal is to hit a 5k (charity one organized by my law school) in april, followed by a 10k for Thanksgiving - my fitness is to, well, be where I…

(ohio myself, but in CT for law school, so I know what you are talking about lol) Sent (and congrats on the 40)

dealeo

Gotcha, let's do this
-
I got halfway to my goal, then slowly fell off. While I have remained roughly at the same area (up and down, but average 215), I want to lose the other half. I'll help keep you on the path if you will do the same - friend me if you wish
-
drat thank you
-
That requires both a better start (as it seems to start at 4miles) and more than twice a week running. My main goal here is to get a program that can get me to 5K (and I can expand, eventually, to more, which I plan), while only requiring twice a week commitment (basically, it compliments my weight lifting, as opposed to…

Toss in some new exercises, or, even, gasp, skip a day when the body gets into a grove, everything becomes more efficient, thus negating some of the burning. This is one of the reasons we plateau, and you can fool the body to start losing again
-
I would love to join. I am 35/40 from my end goal weight and would love to get it off by the middle of swimsuit season (yeah, males are as insecure about that as anybody else lol) My starting (now) is 215 My goal is 180 (my orig start was 295, 275 since on MFP)
-
Male, but I'll take a look at that book (yay for Hanuka monies). As long as I can do a full and still be able to walk the dog roughly 4 miles a day, I should be fine with that book Thanks
-
It is very easily possible, especially as choosing a pound a week is a great option. I lost roughly 60 pounds last year alone, so I think you can do it too (also, hopefully you won't fall off the wagon for weeks at a time, like I did) *edit* Heck, since I am looking to lose about 40 more pounds myself, want to be…

It is actually quite simple, the predictor simply tells you what would happen if, for the next 35 days, you ate EXACTLY like you did for the previous day. This way, you can see what patterns you go with (say you are always about 1,200 calories and you burn 1,700), it will predict a 5 pound loss. I.e., if you match that…
-
do you know of any watch-based version, as the BB seems to be armband only which is not exactly optimal
-
fitterpam, I don't think that it is calculated. I have two accounts, same info, but one exercises daily per setup and the other doesn't. same calculations and expectations
-
all that it is telling you is that if you ate the same ammout everydY for five weeks this is whT you would way in A you eat 500 cal less thAn required, you would be assumed to be eating re same deficit for all 35 days in B you eat the exact amount of your bmr, thus you would be assumed to eat the same everyday it is not a…

so I can not spell apparently... "the parfee is 3/4 cup of non-fat vanilla yogurt and 1/2 cup of special k lowest granola."
