  • My story is almost the same. I lost 75 pounds back in 2009 and just when I was getting close to my goal I became pregnant with my 2nd child after years of trying. I was frustrated and had a very rough pregnancy as well. I gained 50 pounds during my pregnancy and weigh the same as I did the morning I gave birth to her. I am…
  • Just take it one day at a time. When you are walking just make it a point every other minute or 2 to walk faster. It is about getting your heart rate up. So walk a minute at a comfortable pace, then pick it up for a minute, go back to regular speed, and repeat. Just take it slow, and you don't have to run just walk a…
  • I can't do the workout as I am still recovering from foot surgery so I am limited on what I can do, but I can do just about everything else, and I modified the workout to fit what I can do. Thanks for starting this. So far, I have done everything each day.
  • You will probably lose weight in the beginning, but not through the whole pregnancy. With my first I lost almost 20 pounds in the beginning, but ended up gaining that back plus 10 pounds by the end of the pregnancy. Once I had her though I lost 15 pounds almost immediately. Don't lose too much though because that means you…
  • I am making these for our next potluck, thanks!
  • Completed goals for 2/21 YEAH!!!! Goals for today 2/22 Drink 110 ounces of water Exercise for 45 minutes No eating after dinner Increase vegetable intake by 2 servings
  • We each give up something every year, but we also go out of our way to do something for someone else each week during lent. We try to do this year round, but can't always, but during lent we make sure we pick a charity, make a donation, or volunteer at least once a week. I am giving up "chocolate", but I like the TV idea…
  • Almost met my goals yesterday. I did have to eat a bowl of cereal after dinner as I didn't have enough calories for the day, but I did meet the other 2 goals. Today's goals are: Drink 110 ounces of water Get in some exercise No eating after dinner
  • Hi Everyone, My name is Audra and I did MFP a while ago and lost 75 pounds, but after a rough pregnancy and a rough few years of having the baby, I am ready to get back into it. I do good all day and then lose my will power at night time. My goals for today are: Drink over 100 ounces Work out for 45 min No eating after…
  • I am in. I need it all! I need to be held accountable for work outs, and I also have trouble staying on track at night. I am good all day, and blow it at night.
  • Get a lumbar roll for your chair. I have this because I have a bad back and it almost always makes me sit up straighter.
  • Brush your teeth, or chew some gum. That is what I do. Sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn't but think of the extra it will take to work that off.
  • If you can afford it, do it. I have used one and she gets me to push past my comfort zone and I have a much bigger results when I work with her than I do when I work alone. Just make sure you find the right one. There are lots of different trainers. Personally I don't do well with someone like Jillian Michaels who yells…
  • I will get rid of my ticker until after the baby. I am on restrictions and can only walk a max of 30 min at a time. We had a scare in the 5th week and for now he does not want me to do any type of excercising or heavy lifting. He said i may be able to increase my activity in the second trimester but it is a wait and see…
  • Okay so i am officially done sending in my weights since i am on the way back up with the pregnancy. Here is my dilemma- Do I add my weight back into my profile or just leave it where it is until i can start to loose weight again? I am thinking i should leave it alone, since i don't want to change any of my calorie options…
  • Hang in there Kath. Things may seem unsurmountable right now, but they will get better with time, I promise. In the meantime just try to take it easy and rest, don't try to do too much or it will only get worse. We are thinking of you and I know you will make it through stronger. You are an inspiration to a lot of us on…
  • Holy smokes thumper you are looking awesome!
  • where is everyone?
  • Awesome Job, it is so nice to see that 1 in the front isn't it? I probably won't get to see it for another year or so, but great job.
  • Just read your blog and what an inspiration. That is so awesome, you are definitely someone to look up to for all your hard work.
  • Kath- that is pretty funny and something i would probably do too. Hang in there with your shoulder, hopefully it will get better with time. I had another ultra sound today and saw the heartbeat. Everything looks fine and they are reassuring that it does not look like a miscarriage, but i am restricted from any type of…
  • Good luck to Tami and Kristin, you will have those babies before you know it. I had another ultrasound today and saw the heartbeat and the bleeding has stopped thank goodness. Everything looks good and they said it just looks like implantation bleeding. That is so scary to see that spotting, but it was so awesome to see…
  • I need all the help i can get in that area.
  • Thanks for the support everyone. I have talked to my doctor and he did say it is okay for now since i am still overweight, as long as i am eating and keeping down some food, but if it gets too severe he is going to put me on anti nausaua medicine. He doesn't want to do that right now, because of the threat of miscarriage,…
  • Great job everyone. Kath- hang in there, you are doing awesome on the clean eating hang in there, before you know it these hurtles will be gone. I have the morning sickness to thank for the weight loss this week. I can no longer excercise and have to rest all the time. I can get up and move around but this is about it. I…
  • Cris- Glad to hear you are back home and now hopefully you can get some rest. They have done an ultrasound and checked my levels and everything is measuring right where it should. I go back on Monday for another ultrasound to make sure the baby is growing. I feel a little better today, as i haven't seen any bleeding since…
  • Thanks everyone for the thoughts. The bleeding seems to have slowed the last day so i am hopeful that things are getting better. The Dr. has me on no excercise and no lifting anything. I still go to work but i put my feet up and my chair reclines so i do my best to stay in this position. Thank goodness i have a desk job. I…
  • I have been to the dr and they have done an ultrasound and some blood work. He said right now it doesn't look like a miscarriage, but he can't rule out that it won't happen. I have been going on 3 days mostly brown but occasionally pink and after the ultrasound and exam it was red for a little while. I guess i just need to…
  • For those of you who have had spotting in early pregnancy, how long did it last? Couple of days or weeks? I am going to my Dr. on a weekly basis, but it is so scary to see that blood all the time.
