You can do it. You just need to focus on one thing at a time and get good at it. Find something you can change and do it. Remove pastas from your diet or breads. If it works for you do it and change something else later. Replace it with spiced up veggies. That worked for this broken down old biker. If it doesn't, try…

I usually get a couple long, but quick ones in. I'm going to head to Southeast Missouri from Orlando, 1,250 miles and 19 hours, one way to put on a BBQ for a Boy Scout Camp Staff over the second weekend of August. I do two back-to-back Iron Butts in a row, one going and one coming back with a day rest in between. I ride it…

True....I got an earring back in '74 when you never saw guys with earrings. By about '85 many guys had them so I took mine out. They became so common. Cheap and tacky tattoos are now common. Real art is still VERY uncommon. When I see "trinkets" tattooed on people I just smile. You can by your clothes at K-Mart and get…

Badd-*kitten* bike. Back in the day the bikes that bikers respected were Harleys, Indians, Triumphs, and Norton Commanders. Even a couple BSA's showed up a meets. This bike brings back some memories. Thanks for sharing!! BB

I ride almost everyday. I decided years ago that I'd never live north of the Mason-Dixon Line again where I couldn't ride my bike 12 months out of the year. I won four Harleys and have room for an Indian that I'm watching our for. The only decision I make these days is which bike to ride. I hope everyone enjoys their first…

....also....when I eat, my heart rate goes up and my BP goes up. I would suppose that is defined as an increased metabolism. I therefore try to eat 6 times a day when I was losing the most weight. The idea was to keep my metabolism up and not have big peaks a valleys during the day. Never eat large quantities of food, but…

Okay...think about it. When you eat spicy foods, especially things with peppers like jalapeño and habanera, one seems to break out in little beads of sweat on the forehead. What causes that??? I'm guessing an increase in your metabolism.

Hey....don't worry. It's a natural feeling. I'm 56 and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. I've re-invented myself many times. I went to college for 35 years taking classes that help me continue to grow and gave me many options. I've taken steps forward and I've taken steps backward. I've just continued to…
