I agree that to get better at running, you have to run. I would include hill training or sprints to improve your cardiovascular and muscle endurance.

I love this idea but what if I can't do pull-ups . . . what could I replace it with?

I'm glad to know that! I did 30DS and really enjoyed it. Lost several inches all around, however I did want to find something less cardio and more weights so I will look into NMTZ. Thanks!

A professional athlete who doesn't work out in the gym? Does he do other types of workouts? And "doesn't want you to look like a man"? Perhpas he is homophobic?

Add me as a friend if you want. I can definitely relate as I am a 43-year-old single mom with a full week and commute. I am starting again too. We can encourage each other!

Wow, you're doing an awesome job. You said a lot of things in your post, but I think the thing that rang the most true for me is "getting happier helps you lose weight". I think we are always under the impression that it's the other way around, but I think I will try it your way (the other way is not working for me!). I…

It's hilarious how some women, just because it is the latest trend, actually think they have big butts. I creep their profile and yep . . . there it is! Flat as a pancake! Sorry girls . . .

When I was pregnant and had put on more than just baby weight, my now ex-husband told me that I looked like the "before" picture in a weight loss ad.

Now THAT's freaking amazing! Not all the Hollywood moms out there who are skinny 4 days after giving birth, but a real woman who has obviously done everything right, throughout pregnancy and afterwards. Congratulations!

I find that the lack of daylight in winter affects me the most. I find it really hard to crawl outta bed at 5:30 am to workout when it is as dark as midnight. And I'm less likely to go out for a walk at 6 pm because it is so dark, it feels like night. I need sunlight!!!

That means that week 1 was effective. Get to week two and it should get harder. I also find that Ripped in 30 is much harder than Shred and it has four weeks. I'm sure you'll start to feel it getting harder.

Binging, as opposed to over-eating has nothing to do with diet. It is a physical response to an emotional issue. You are using food as a source of comfort for whatever, issue is going in your life at the moment. Once you figure out what the issue is and deal with it, then you will be able to focus on eating well and diet…

Maybe it's because your user name sounds like "lick sac" . . . just sayin'

I think one of the problems is the scale. Every scale is different. What you weigh on one could be different on another.

Once I lose all this weight, I'm going to have at it fo' sho'!

At the gym! Oddly enough, before I became fat (or before I hooked up with him), I used to be a gym rat!

What you did was great. You can have junk food once in a while and fit it into your diet, and NO, you are not obligated to keep it in the house.

To Along_Came_Mol: Spoken like someone who has never been truly fat! You wouldn't understand. Move along!

This is cool!
