Wish I was 50. LOL 40 lbs in two months is excellent. I've been doing this since jan 24th and am stuck at 27 lbs off. I do a kind of modified atkins. What do you do? Oh...feel free to add me if you want.

My clothes fit better...but what makes me happy is people have started telling me that I'm losing weight. Glad that it is beginning to show even tho I have a long way to go.
-
What about us who have gone thru the change? I was bloatie and seemed to have put back on a couple of pounds last month but the went away. Now this month, I seem to be experiencing the same again? Does "ghost cycles" exist in us older folk? I'm 66.

What is the 30 day shred.

The dismissive loved ones are hard. You know they are really on your side but they honestly don't believe you are going to make it or... for some reason they don't even admit to themselves... they don't want you to make it. That hurts but you can't let it deter you. My advice would be to stop discussing it with those…

Barbiecat, thanks for the tip. Since I am a boneyfide library lady, I'm sure I can track down this book. I appreciate the response.

:flowerforyou: Good idea! I hadn't even thought of that so thanks a lot. I will hafta wait a couple more months on it tho, because the only pool I have access to won't open until Memorial Day weekend.

Hahahaha...That is funny...and so sad. How does does one break the awful addiction to standing on those wicked scales?
-
Me too. I try to stay away from the scales except for Sundays but there is a sick fascination...like watching a train wreck.
-
You are awesome! Thanks for the insight. I have many more miles to go but my steps are getting lighter.

I'm from the tiny desert town of Trona, CA and I worked as a library page in our local branch library for close to 20 yrs...ergo, Tronapage. :)

Lightly clothed and soft slippers...the same outfit I will wear to the doctors office. LOL...I take no chances.
