  • That's amazing! You must be so proud of yourself...
  • I find that not getting enough sleep makes me more likely to binge as I'm tired and then can't stop... also the other really weird one for me is if I think I'll have a skinny mocha or something but then it gives me the taste for sweet stuff and then I'm off eating chocolate etc. Clearly I haven't got the self-control thing…
  • I'm 5ft 4 and 123lbs... since joining I haven't lost anything which has been really hard as I eat well (most of the time!) and exercise at least 3x a week. I'm beginning to think that 1200 is too low to lose anything and found this calculator in another post really useful - http://calorieline.com/tools/tdee I'm not…
  • I've found that lack of sleep is what tips me over the edge... I've been so tired over the past few days that I haven't had any discipline. From tomorrow I'm back on the wagon (again!)
  • Thanks everyone for replying, as you can see I probably get more wound up by what the scales say than I should! I'm going to up my water and keep an eye on the sodium. Have a lovely weekend
  • It's so crazy isn't it, someone had posted a link to an image gallery of real women and all I could think was how can they have a flat stomach and look fantastic in a bikini and I can't?! But then I got my boyfriend to take a pic of me and suddenly thought maybe I'm not as big as I think I am. It's hard being female
  • I think you should see a doctor to make sure there's nothing serious going on but could you be anaemic? When I had low iron levels I was sluggish, tired and generally struggled with everything.
  • I'd been doing ok today, I'd eaten really well and then this afternoon despite not being hungry I ate 2 bars of chocolate and 4 chocolate digestives.. I'm so tired of myself for behaving like this and it doesn't matter how well I do I never seem to be completely free of this urge to self-destruct. The only positive right…
  • I seem to get weird cravings all the time and so today to try and control it I had a slice of wholemeal bread with nutella... so I got the fix of nutella but the bread meant I'm too full to try and keep going like I would've done before. I agree with the others who have said look at it over a week too.
  • I completely understand - you look amazing already though so don't be too hard on yourself. There's a really good book by James Duigan (he trains Elle McPherson) about how you should eat clean & lean - so lots of vegetables and protein and then one meal a week you have a cheat meal to keep your metabolism working.…
  • I'm about 10lbs away from my goal weight but have been stuck at my current weight for ages which is why I joined myfp. If you're happy with what you weigh and are eating healthy/exercising then it's a good position to be in! In my case I'm convinced that if I lose these last few pounds I'll have the flat stomach and…
  • You look amazing! You must be so happy
  • Hey... don't be too hard on yourself as if you've lost it once you can lose it again! How about getting an exercise dvd or something you can do at home? There's so many out there you're bound to find something you like the look of. Break down what you want to achieve - saying 10kgs sounds a lot so how about starting with…
  • A bikini! Lots of bikinis as I'll be confident enough to wear one and it will be a line in the sand
  • I'm 28 now and have had this since I was about 11... today was a bad day as I did 600 calories but it was also a good day as I stopped at 600 calories. There was a time when I'd eat an entire packet of biscuits and still not throw up. I'm about 9-10lbs away from my goal weight and I hope a flat stomach but I don't…
  • I need a friend, I'm 5ft 4 but a tad older at 28... I'm really struggling at the moment so would love someone to have as a cheerleader :)
  • MFP told me that if I wanted to lose 1lb a week I should aim for 1200 a day but as I exercise regularly it tends to bump what I'm allowed a bit. That's really interesting though as my goal weight is 112lbs... how did you find losing the last bit?
  • Hi, in my weights session I really go for it - I've been working on upper body as I want to be able to do pull-ups and on my legs I'm squatting 45kgs... I basically want to be stronger, leaner, and all-round better! I have a protein bar after the session too to try and help my body recover. I'm happier than I've been for a…
  • Genius thanks. I'm willing to try anything and everything to make this work
  • I know exactly what you mean... I don't seem to have lost anything since joining here and if anything the scales have been against me! But I've bought a tape measure to check that all the weights exercises I'm doing etc are working and I've decided that I need to go easy on myself sometimes too - I am not a machine and…
  • Hi Chris, I'm like you and haven't seen the scales move... I feel better and slimmer than I did and absolutely love the weights that I do... I just bought a tape measure as I kept on getting down when weighing myself and am hoping that it will help me keep focused. One point is though that under-eating on your calories…
  • lol complaining about skinny people works for me - I sit next to 2 of them! i'm going down the road of drinking water and will make myself a cup of tea too... thanks guys for replying :)
