Thank you... actually trying to sweet talk the BF into going so it will keep me motivated also. I work 12 hour days so by the time I get home I am already so exhausted

Thank you for the advice!!! I think in my mind i'm thinking it is a diet...not a lifestyle change. I travel a lot which doesn't help. Easier to grab junk food ( or eat too much).

I think the best way to stick to this dieting plan is all of the support.

I suffered horribly from shin splints. I got a pair of Asics that have good arch support. Asics use high quality gel that really adds a lot of cushion. So far, no more shin splints. Big 5 sells a lot of Asics. Of suggest trying them on there but buying from Amazon. A lot cheaper.

You should throw more veggies into the mix. Also, I'm not big on "working out" either. But, I have recently started walking 3-4 miles a day 6 times a week. I've found out that if I drink a glass of water 15-20 minutes after eating that I feel full the rest of the night, Also, when I cut down on my carbs. (white breads,pasta,potatoes,etc..) and added more whole grains that Im beginning to feel that my meals are more filling causing me to not want to snack. Good luck on your…

I am just now counting calories. It shows that my recommended calories are 1500 a day. Seems a bit high but I'm also not wanting to diet too crazy. I want to enjoy food so I dont fall back into old habits if I give everything up.

So glad to hear I am on the right path! I have read good and bads about walking online. I know it will take longer to lose weight walking. How long did it take everyone to lose weight?
