Shortly after starting MFP I hit a plateau and no matter what I did I could not get under 200. I got frustrated then angry and gained back five pounds. Today I stepped on the scale and was 198! I know I will most likely hit another before I am done, but I won't get upset and will keep doing what I should.:bigsmile:

I am so excited I lost 5 pounds in the last week. I was stuck but wanted to meet my easter goal of 8 pounds. I decided to change my attitude and be like the little engine that could. I think I can I think I can and I did. :love: :bigsmile: :tongue:

I heard drinking slows metabolism and tricks your body into holding onto fat. I like a drink at night too, but have quit after hearing this. Not real sure if it will work.:drinker:

Don't feel bad about never eating an avocado. I live in montana and had never had one until my mother in law came to help me after surgery. She was doing everything and I wanted to help she handed me an avodado and told me to peel it. I had to admit I didn't know what to do with it she still laughs 3 years later.:blushing:

I am new to this, but I try to make healthier choices than I used to make and do at least 30 min of exercise every day. I started this Jan 6 and have lost 18 pounds. After I started tracking on this site I hit a plateau. I eat when I get frustrated so I gained two pounds. Now I am seriously trying. to exercise 60 min a day…

I have seen members that have two tickers one for weight loss and one for miles ran, etc. How do you get the second ticker. I want to one for exercising to help motivate me.

I like the 30 day shred but I am a Jillian fan. Did you know she weighed 175 at 13 and got kicked out of kickboxing class for smuggling cheetos. read it in self. My husband even likes the shred.

Doesn't the stress hormone cortisol cause weight gain especially in the belly? My advice is find a way to deal with the stress if possible. When you are happy it is easier to lose the weight.. I started yesterday,but I have heard it takes a deficit of around 3500calories to loose 1 pound. I keep reminding myself too much lost too fast is easier to put back on and is not healthy. I put my scale away and will weigh in next Monday.
