I have my calories set at 1700 just because my macro's balance out best for me there but generally I eat 1700-2300. I recently did a 3 month bulk and was not gaining at 2300 a day. I had to go up 200 more calories and add some crappy food to get a 5 lb gain from my bulk. I totally gained strength though! I am now on the…

I'm training to compete but haven't had my first fight. I'm mostly a newbie. Started with a basic girls class which was a lot of interval type training but also fundamentals and some sparring. I was asked to join the fight team. I've only gone to a few team trainings. I live about an hour and a half from the club. I do a…

I'm fairly new to boxing, I started with a girls class and then moved on to actually team training with sparring. It's been pretty interesting and fun. I train a lot on my own because I live so far from the boxing gym (hour and 30 one way). I have a full gym though with bench, squat rack, plyo box for jumping and pushing,…

Sounds like success! Also thanks for posting!

I have no idea why but I tend to be really hard on myself with the bench and I tend to be fairly decent at it. I however have a TERRIBLE time with deadlifts. It's mostly form related I think. I have an old lower back injury and I know if I use my legs not my back I should be fine, but I always SUCK at them! I did have some…

I started flabby and unhealthy here. I lost weight and I didn't do it by starving. I ate a decent amount and started running and then adding strength. I always said I wanted to be fit, not skinny. I dropped to my lowest weight around Dec though mostly because I was becoming a cardio junky, that's when realized I wanted to…

I never thought I was a "runner" however I learned really quickly that it's something that really helps calm the madness of life for me. I work full time, have 4 children, and 2 dogs. My kids are 18,10, and twins who are 7. My dogs are 5 and 10 months (what kind of lunatic with 4 kids and a dog gets a puppy for…

Mine says 130, at the time I was 166, and now I'm 126. No matter what- It's WRONG!

Start slow. I can't imagine eating that low, I almost died at 1200 and didn't stick with that for long! Like the others suggested try to snack on nuts (pistachios, YUM),string cheese or even beef jerky. Have you ever tried protein bars? If you don't plan to give up coffee ( I didn't) and you don't like the consistency of…

Totally fell for it. Hook, line , and sinker! Great story. Congrats on the gain!

Feel free to add me. I don't fad diet and don't believe in fast easy fixes. I didn't give up anything but I certainly scaled back and believe in moderation with mostly clean eating. I have logged in for more than 500 days straight. I run, bike, do combat, and lift weights. I'm not here to lose any more weight but I started…

Loved reading your story! Great job!

My dad always called me Slim, little did he know I'd eventually have trouble staying that way. The rest is my birthday. Super exciting right?

I agree with above. I aim for high protein and fitting my macros. I do eat fairly clean because I like "clean" foods but I don't get crazy about it. I eat about 75% clean, maybe less. I almost ALWAYS have ice-cream in my day after a workout. I believe in this being my life not a diet. No one diets forever! I've gotten…

I try for 126g a day, now and then I am higher or lower but I always try to keep it at a minimum of 100g. I eat between 1800-2100 calories a day. I run and lift weights and mix in HIIT. I'm just working toward building muscle not losing weight.

Thanks! You never know, my dad got around. LOL Just kidding!

I've found that I have so much less hip and knee pain and also foot pain wearing my Vibrams. I've worn them for years and for half marathons and a 16 mile trail run. I was fitted first with hugely supportive shoes and still had lots of pain. Went minimalist and found I actually corrected my stride the natural way which…

I have gotten great results from not being "hardcore" so I wouldn't worry about that! My husband and I are from the US, but fell in love with Australia when we visited, we spent 2 lovely weeks there and I'd love to transplant! We even named our daughter after one of the hotels we visited. Feel free to request me, I log in…

I eat about 6 times a day. Breakfast snack Lunch snack dinner post work out snack or dessert ( I like ice-cream after an intense workout and it works fine for me LOL)

If you took a look at my profession (computer nerd) you wouldn't think that = tramp. If you look at my wardrobe, mostly business attire, probably not "trashy" If you look at my personal life, happily married for 11 years and proud soccer mom of 4, that probably also doesn't scream TRAMP. If you look at my tattoos and think…

Who puts Ketchup on steak! My dad always taught us steak had a flavor to savor not cover! However, if you wanted to make a ketchup try: 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste; 2 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice; 1/4 tsp dry mustard; 1/3 cup water; 1/4 tsp cinnamon; 1/4 tsp salt; 1 pinch ground cloves; 1 pinch ground allspice; 1/8 tsp…

I've been extremely successful but I am successful because I do what works for me. If people need ideas or suggestions I will give them but I don't want anyone thinking they can eat exactly what I do and lose weight. I've tried a million combinations until I found the one that worked for me. It's just not for everyone. I…

Reasons I got fat and how I got thinner! #1 I LOVE to snack! I have learned that I won't give up snacking so instead I snack on better things. Chips replaced with pistachios or celery, Candy replaced with blueberries or fruit, things like that. #2 I knew I was putting on weight but I said I enjoyed eating whatever I wanted…
