  • My most recent NSV success is having to purchase smaller undergarments. I definitely spoiled myself there. ;)
  • I'm in for Keto support. I have done the low carb, years ago. I don't like sweets to begin with so this is a little easier than I thought it might be. I have been solid for 5 days now and down a few pounds. Height 5' 1" SW 142 CW 137 GW 120
  • Not only am I struggling with full menopause, but I am a 2yr bone marrow transplant survivor (Hodgkin's Lymphoma) The combined has hit me hard in the weight gain area. Never had to worry or work so hard to lose a few pounds. Well, 20lbs gained and I am working hard to get this off. I have switched from my usual run it off…

  • Totally missed my goal last month. I knew it was going to be a little bit of a stretch with family in town. I have been ignoring my all important stretches and yoga causing me to deal with planter fasciitis for over a week now. KT Tape and stretching has really helped and I think I am ready to go. 50 miles
  • @ddmom0811 so adorable, my little lady begs to go with me as soon as I am putting on my shoes. She loves to run (speed walk is what she does) She has been sore lately so I haven't taken her with me. I am dealing with planter fasciitis for over a week now. The rest has done some good.
  • I have created a monster out of our little Shiatsu mix. She sees me getting my running shoes and turns into a maniac. Looks like I have a running buddy for my regular runs. Only down fall is I end up carrying her little poop bag for a good distance before I find a trash can. :s Don't believe she will make it on my long…

  • @9voice9 that is very impressive - way to go @kristinegift very nice times and great pics @Stoshew71 love the pics @Virkati I love the feeling of my legs not being there and I can just keep going and going. I usually get this when I hit miles 4-6 and then fatigue will begin to set in again. Ditto on what Stoshew71 said…
  • @patrikc333 I get that on again off again knee pain also. I will usually ice my knee afterwards and also make sure I use the roller for my IT band (I'm not a consistent with this as I should be). Yoga seems to help a lot with the aches and pains. @Stoshew71 You explained the aerobic base training so well. Coming back from…
  • Yesterday was a rare afternoon run. I had a spare 50 minutes and could not resist the cool afternoon. Mongolian bbq for lunch was still being felt making me heavy. • If I am running over 5miles I will eat something about 30mins before I head out and take water with me. I am rebuilding on my miles after finally being able to run again and will try out some GU's. I used to take sour jelly beans with me back in the day, mostly sucked on them until gone.
  • I recovered from my cold by Halloween and spent the next four days babysitting two gran-babies. Was able to get a good walk in with them on Tuesday. Decided to do my long run today and the cooler weather feels so good. I love removing the layers as I progress through the miles. IT started to give me issues in between miles…
  • @9voice9 and @7lenny7 Good luck this weekend!! Can't wait to hear how you did.
  • I am in for 75 miles.
  • I slept for over 11 hours last night. WOW I feel much better today but still resting until Sunday. My oncologist said to take care like I normally would and her being a fellow runner congratulated me on kicking *kitten* with my miles. Her running patients have always bounced back better than any others. That is so…
  • Scratch my morning run. :s I officially have my first cold since my bone marrow transplant. It is a little scary, emailed my oncologist just to be sure I didn't need to do anything special. Lots of fluids, vitamins, cold meds, and rest. Back in the day I would have ran anyway but a new immune system needs to be treated…
  • So many errands to run and I should not be wasting time reading all this great information. But still love it. So pleased with myself to have already reached my goal miles. I am babysitting grand-babies from Halloween-Wed evening. Thanks to my awesome husband I will still get my long run in on Sunday morning and will have…

  • @juliet3455 and @shanaber Being part of these monthly challenges and seeing everyone reaching whatever goals they have set for themselves keeps me motivated. I am thankful I can be part of that motivation. Running has saved my life. I'm not as fast as I used to be and may never get there again. But I am running and love…
