I ran 3 miles today - it's been 16 days since I last ran and as the days were passing I was getting more and frustrated. It's been storm after storm here with really strong wind. I'm not going to reach my target but I'll do as much as I can. Reading everyone posts helped keep me motivated to get going again. I started to feel good today as soon as I got my feet into my runners!

Went to the "Normal Meeting Place " for the Saturday Running Club 30 mins early since I am one of the slower plodders - left a note on the dash of my truck as to which route I was going to start on. No one texted/called and never met another runner - Got back to the Java Café and my vehicle was the only one in the parking lot. Reset my CP and received 7 text's saying they were going to change up the route due to the wind and were on the other side of the River in the Shelter of the Trees and Hills. Grrrr.
3.5 Lonely km's up Judah Hill, 2 km cross country to 12 Ft Davis Hill and 2 km back to Java Café. Above the Tree line the wind was brutal - gusty - so constantly pushing you around and getting the odd tree branch whip in the face, which is the reason I always wear glasses, Industrial Safety or Sunglasses depending on the lighting.

    11/21 –7.5 Km – 81.8km –58.2 Km – – YTD – 7.5 + 453.4 = 460.9Km

Struggling a little bit this month to meet goal due to early sunset, cold, limited terrain and trails due to them being covered in ankle-leg destroying snow.

I have created a monster out of our little Shiatsu mix. She sees me getting my running shoes and turns into a maniac. Looks like I have a running buddy for my regular runs. Only down fall is I end up carrying her little poop bag for a good distance before I find a trash can. :s Don't believe she will make it on my long runs as I am progressively increasing my distance.

    Nov 3 - 4.73 walking
    Nov 5 - 7.00
Nov 6 - yoga and stretches
    Nov 7 - family time
    Nov 8 - family time
    Nov 9 - 3.2
    Nov 10 - 4.59
    Nov 12 - 5.15 (3 run, 2.15 walk)
    Nov 13 - 3.27 walk
Nov 15 - 5 - took our Shiatsu mix out on my run this morning. I was pleasantly surprised she never slowed down.
    Nov 16 - household chores
    Nov 17 - 4.84
    Nov 19 - 5.23 (4 run, 1.23 walk)
Nov 21 - 3.11 (5K race, last night's outing with the girls left me slow this morning. :p )

I've decided that because I'm willing to do some ridiculous things in the name of running, I can officially call myself a runner. I'm owning it!

    Sounds right!

I'll post the ticker later. Ran my 6.4 with a new run buddy, then ran the Thanks for Giving 5K which was a food-raiser (?) for a local gym. Wasn't stressed about time or anything, so I got to talk with a couple of young runners (8 and 9 y/o), and actually ran with one of 'em for a little while on the course. I finished ahead of that one, and saw him coming towards the chute, and prodded him into sprinting the last few yards (instead of the leisurely stroll he'd been doing just before that).

Turns out I got 2nd in AG (31:23), so not bad. But it just means that I've got another medal to pass along to We Finish Together...

    @9voice9 - Awesome! Congrats!
@skippygirlsmom - LOVE the teddy bear! How sweet of him!
@louubelle16 - I use Endomondo and it keeps track of your history, by sport, by month, year, etc. There is a free version but I decided to pay for one year at $9.99 and got it for my daughter because we can see where each other are running (live). Then, the next year they raised it to $25!!! I went ahead and did it because I’m out running at 4:30 am in the dark and I want my hubby to know where I am. It’s cheaper than a body guard.
@dharwood68 - I have a shitzu mix also! I can’t imagine mine could run very far though.
    @Elise4270 - that looks cool!

@9voice9 great job today!!! Congrats on the 2nd place AG.
@virkati it took me a long time to find him  after my first half I he sent me a box of foot soap, lotions and sleepers. He's working in Abu Dhabi so he hasn't been here to see me run.
@_nikkiwolf_ I never heard of such a thing weird.

Feet are cracking a lot today and sore.. Might have to dig the old Brooks out and use them for the next week until I pick up my Asics from the running store. Brooks have hardly no tread left on them.. but probably still have more support than the Nikes.

Updating and then off to read the 62 new posts, lol!

11/1 3.1 @ 11:15 outside in the neighborhood in the rain
    11/2 rest
11/3 5.0 @ 10:59 on the treadmill (plus a 1 mile walk and strength training)
11/4 8.2 @ really really slow (16:04) riking (run-hiking, steep, covered with inches of leaves and treacherous fun)
11/5 4.0 @ 12:30 recovery run plus .5 walk on the park trail
    11/6 3.25 @ 10:53 on the treadmill (really 3.0 at 10:28, plus .25 at a walk) plus strength training.
    11/7 Rest/Life Day

    11/8 Rest/Life Day
11/9 5.5 @ 12:30 on the park trail with the doggy--who really enjoyed rolling around in the leaves!
    11/10 2.5 @ 11:38 (really 2.25 at 11:07 and a .25 walk) around the neighborhood in the rain.
    11/11 6 @ 11:32 on the treadmill (really 5 at 11:00 and 1 at a fast walk/jog) plus strength training
11/12 7 @ 11:45 (this is really like 5 at 10:50 and the rest a little slower), plus 1 at a walk on the treadmill. I am in some pain...yesterday was squats and lunges and this may have been a little aggressive of a run for right after. :( On the other hand, I did get to watch the entirety of "Bring It On". Where are my pompoms?!
    11/13 2 @ 13ish walk/running the dog for my recovery run.
    11/14 Rest day

    11/15 4.5 @ 11:18 in the neighborhood--it was a gorgeous day for a run!
11/16 5.0 @ 10:51 around the lake trail--my fastest outdoor run yet, in spite of a slow start. The 4th mile split was 9:44!!!!!!!OMG!!!
    11/17 3.5 @ 10:32 (really 3 @ 10:17 and .5 at 12:00) on the treadmill, and strength training

Runkeeper lost all my data so I have no idea what I've done :'( Has anyone else had this problem?

And more importantly, can someone recommend a better running app?!

Runkeeper kept pausing on my walk today.. Every few mins the lady would say I had paused my activity and I had to keep telling the app to continue, even though the screen said it was still recording my walk. It's never played up before so I'm not sure now
