I currently have 2 cats (used to be 3 until my baby of 22 years passed away last year), George the feral cat who loves people but I have never been able to touch. He lives under the deck and I feed him daily. Then, there is 2-year-old spoiled kitty, Lucy-Fur, who adopted me just before my last cat died when she showed up…

Reality check... 24 pounds in TWO MONTHS is 3 pounds a week. That is freaking amazing! The recommended is 1 pound a week, so I'd say you are kicking butt. Slow and steady wins the race.

Way to beat a dead horse, people in this thread. OP has insecurities, I'm sure we ALL do at some point or another. Don't beat her over the head with them.

You could definitely make that pizza a quesadilla too! Just don't cook it for 7 minutes before you put the ingredients on... it gets hard! Another yummy-full day from Nammy! I gotta say that the egg mcmuffin breakfast is one of my favorites. Very hot and filling... except I use Southwest Egg Beaters because I am addicted…

That's what happened to my pictures the first time I tried to post them! You are probably doing it correct, but photobucket is being stupid. What I had to do was to reupload my photos to photobucket again... and then put the new links in and Ta Da... it worked.

A few things... 1.) UM..... YUM!!!! 2.) They have quick steel cut oats!?!?!? I am going to have to search for these. All I have is the ones that take 30 minutes... or if I put them in the crockpot, 2 to 4 hours. I love steel cut oats so much more than regular oatmeal! I like a bit of chew to my oats! 3.) You're chili…

Thank YOU! And I know you're definitely right... there shouldn't be much judgment, but it certainly does happen. I eat carbs in moderation... OH THE HORRORS... I eat sugar sometimes... BLASPHEMY!!!! There are some chemicals in my food... ALERT THE CHURCH ELDERS!! You'd be surprised what kind of self-righteous people dwell…

Love this thread! Y'all people are totally inspirations... take that to the bank! I'm not at my end goal, so I don't consider myself a success yet... but I'm darn near going to get there. Started out weighing 530 pounds... I'm now down to around 290... just about 110 left to go! :) Before... but not my highest since no one…

Y'all rock... thanks for all the great tips! I must search for this Mrs. Dash and Braggs Amino Acid stuff!

Thanks for the tips! I will have to toy with those... As for the body needing salt... I definitely know that already... but this stir fry with the soy sauce and the broth puts me over my sodium intake for the day by 500 mg. I don't like that. So, that's why I'm looking for a lower sodium version.

Everyone looks so much younger and happier!! Go you all! Here are mine... though my "before" wasn't near my heaviest and my "after" is really a during picture...

5. Getting off of ALL of my diabetes medications and insulin shots... basically curing the disease. 4. Being able to shop for clothes in an actual store and not via the Tent shop online 3. Able to bend over to tie my own shoes, put my own socks on, and cut my own toenails without taking a break to catch my breath. Being…

I have a huge panniculus as well... hangs nearly down to my knees and has been getting worse with my 241-pound weight loss because the skin just hangs there now. I don't think there is a way to totally get rid of it without surgery if it's large... you can't tighten skin that's that saggy. I can't wait until the day I can…

Absolutely the truth. Patience is key in this journey because I don't know about you, but when all my weight comes off, it will be for a lifetime!

Another breakfast idea... an oatmeal alternative... I made a batch of quinoa, put it in the fridge and then in the morning I take 1/2 cup of almond milk (or plain milk) mixed with 1/2 cup of quinoa... microwave to warm it up and then 1/8 cup of raisins, half of a granny smith apple chopped up, a teaspoon of honey and…

I LOVE this... and it's exactly the way I look at this lifestyle change re: eating. If you hate gyms... don't do gyms!! I've had gym memberships, but never kept them up because I just hate the atmosphere. I'd much rather be outside biking or walk/running.

About 9 Tblsp Southwest flavor Egg Beaters scrambled with fat free cheese sprinkled on top and salsa with a 100-calorie English muffin with some sort of fruit. If you're feeling wild, throw in some onions/peppers/mushrooms and make an omelet! Southwest Egg Beaters (9 Tblsp): 60 calories 1/8 cup fat free cheddar: 23…

Hey hun... I have been in your same shoes. You just have to jump in and try some things. Think of the things you enjoy eating and look for recipes that way. I have a folder that I keep all of the recipes I want to try and I'm always adding to those and then once a week on Saturday or Sunday, I peruse that folder and pick…

Hey Hon... I feel you. When you start exercising more and using your shoes more, make sure you change them out regularly! It will so help with feet issues further down the road. I didn't take this advice and got plantar fasciitis and now I have to wear shape-up shoes... which I actually really like! As for a certain…

As someone who didn't get proper before pictures until about 150 pounds lost, I SO wish I had taken them. It is a regret I will always have because I will never go back to that weight!

I freaking love this post because A.) It's hilarious... and 2.) it has been my mantra for 2-1/2 years now. I eat "NORMAL" food and over the last 2-1/2 years I've lost me nearly 240 pounds. If that isn't a success story to put in your book of a calorie is a calorie, I don't know what is. I don't like tofu and weird foods...…
