Right there with you! Had to stop running a few years ago because of knee issues. I think I used that as an excuse. I still worked out doing other things but haven't found anything that I love. I was still doing ok with food, or so I thought. Perimenopause is kicking my *kitten* and brought to light that I needed to get…

For me, yes. I was diagnosed 2 years ago, had double mastectomy with reconstruction. No family history and 40 years old. We hear all the time how being overweight causes health problems. I guess I just never thought cancer would be one of them. It was the motivation I needed to lose, lost 41 pounds so far, and start taking…

Congrats and Happy Anniversary. I will be 2 years in Dec. Diagnosed at 40. Life is precious. Enjoy every moment. :flowerforyou:

I do a lot of Jillian Michaels videos and create my own exercise. BUT, I wear a HRM to get a more accurate calorie burn. The only way to be relatively accurate is withone.

Huh. As someone that had to have both breasts removed at the age of 41 because of breast cancer, appreciate what you have. Mine were small but they were mine.Yes, I do have implants but if I had to do all over again I don't know that I would. My situation is different than a normal cosmetic enhancement but the problems…

Jillian Michael's Extreme Shed and Shred. I love it. Combo of cardio and a mix of body weight strength training and even some HIIT. Just need a set of hand weights.

I've had the same problem. What a pain! I would rinse mine after use but never put it into the wash. I kept having problems and decided to through it in the wash like they recommend after every 5 uses. Haven't had a problem since. I use mine everyday and have had it since March. Haven't changed the battery yet.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I know the decision your mom made is a difficult one but ultimately it is her body, her decision. I'll bet if you google online support group for her type of cancer you'll find some. Check out the American Cancer Society for info. Cancer is a freakin nasty beast. I know and have firsthand…

I've not made any special adjustments to my HRM and I've lost 30 pounds. Can't be that wrong and if so, I'm still losing and that's ok with me.

Calories can't tell time. I work third shift and eat breakfast before I go to bed in the morning. Hasn't stopped my weight loss. I'm down 30 pounds!

I am with you on this one. I'm 5'5", 177 lbs and I am just now able to get into XL tops, some I still can't. Of course like you said, I don't wear my clothes skin tight either, not going to let the rolls be that visible.

I'm doing Jillian Michael's Extreme Shed and Shred. Love it. I burn 500-600 for and hour.

I know he is a doctor but I think he's a hack when it comes to all the crap he pushes. We all know what we need to eat and not eat. It's not rocket science. In my experience, if it sounds too good to be true, it is.

I just finished week 9 yesterday. I've been doing it on the treadmill though so now my goal is to take it outside.

Put it in perspective. I've been 'bigger' bodied for a long time. And had small boobs. I always wished they were bigger because they seemed small in comparison to the rest of my body. Well, I got my wish. Unfortunately it was because I had a bilateral mastectomy because I had breast cancer. I'd take my originals over these…

That's awesome Pete and daddio! Kudos to you both. Good luck this weekend daddio!

Thank you so much for posting this. As someone else mentioned, I need to refer to this when I feel a binge coming on. Very insightful. Thank you.

I'm a week behind. I lost my motivation and just wasn't feeling it. Got my head on straight and did day 1 week 8 today. Set my mind to it and got it done. I think it's such a mind game for me. Still going slow but I'll get there.
-
That is so awesome daddio. I'm jealous of your progress!

Just finished week 7 on my second go. Just didn't feel ready to move on and it was still a struggle. I'll start week 8 on Wed and see how it goes. Not sure I'll ever be a "runner" but I think I can be a consistent jogger. I'm just too slow to consider myself a runner.

Love that show! Bazinga!

Finally completed a day without stopping! This should have been my last day on week 7. Small victories. Going to repeat the entire week but I'll take it. Still running on the treadmill, boooo. I'll get there, outside that is. One thing at a time.
