Isn't there a way to increase My Fitness Pal's settings to allot for a little more protein? Exercise (especially weights) would require more protein, for example...plus I find a little extra protein makes me less hungry....that's a good thing. I don't think going over a little is a problem...just don't know how much…

Canned tuna - I like the little cans that have a flavor in them...especially the tuna in basil infused oil yum Chick peas...I can eat them with just a little salt, and intend to try roasting them sometime Dessert-like - a banana dipped in melted peanut butter

No bottle dressings at all. Either make my own with olive oil, balsamic vinegar (or other type), dijon mustard, salt, pepper BUT I have found that I much prefer ONLY Extra Virgin Olive Oil and salt/pepper. I taste the veggies better and it makes it rich. About 1-2 tablespoons depending if it is a small or large salad.

The 30 Day Shred - Jillian Michaels. Starts you off "slowly"...you can even use no weights to begin with and just use your own resistance. Don't move on to level two and three until you are ready.

bump I am thinking that I should be upping my calories soon...however, it's hard because my meals have LOTS of veggies in them and they don't have many calories and they are filling. LOL

I smell burnout. How is a person supposed to maintain a lifestyle like that....especially when you're not going to lose anything that way. No offense .... but you're totally martyring yourself and the cause isn't working.

I think that's what people mean, but it's a convenient way of saying it. If you took a grapefruit and one was made of fat and one was muscle...the muscle one would weigh more than the fat one....just that the fat one would be useless. Okay that was a horrible analogy, but you know what I mean. LOL

I've got the same problem. I've definitely cut back and only have wine Saturday night with my hubby while we relax together. BUT I would love to be able to take it down to 2 drinks instead of 4 or whatever. I hope that with time, and weight loss, I won't need more than 2. Want to be friends since we have the same dilemma?…

You're right...he did choose food related rewards, didn't he? LOL Oh well, at least he did something nice for me. Also I think 10 days of being on track deserves whatever he plans. I only had a small piece of shepherd's pie, and plan on having a great date night, not centred around food.......sex maybe...is that healthy…

I am having excellent results with Jillian. I do agree she gets to grind on the nerves a little....but it's only 20 ish minutes....of pain...but it works!!!!

I find that as soon as I start eating clean, my appetite diminishes (sorry you weren't looking for that)...but I am a serious appetite monster. Also reducing and cutting out sugar and the "bad carbs" definitely works too....you just have to get over those first few days of MAN I WANT PASTA feelings.

I had the same thing when working out and running. I learned that I have to avoid eating for like 1.5 hours or more before working out. Maybe it's WHAT I ate...like protein too.....I don't know but I would try that if you haven't already. It could be the other reasons as well...water, breathing OR just getting in better…

I see no one has answered. I would like to try to guess why. I believe that weight training in general burns less calories DURING the workout, whereas cardio burns more. Bike riding is strictly cardio, whereas 30DS and "circuit training" involves weights, so the estimate is less calorie burn. I agree...I want to die too,…
