Go and see the doctor and get some bloods done to see if you need medication! Usually it's very difficult to lose weight at all if you are underactive and not on meds (even when you are) If it's just a plateau try changing your diet and exercise up for a few days

Hi I'm exactly the same. Was here 2012 managing to get to about 180lbs, now back up to 250! I think I lost heart for about a year, but I'm back too! I'm also trialling thyroid-s to see if that helps from the generic levothyroxine rubbish that is all the UK offers. Right peeps, lets try

Hey You need to change your mindset to believe you are now a non-smoker and smoking is BAD Cliche but I read Allen Carrs easy way to stop smoking and it managed to wake up my brain and now I stick to the manta NOPE- Not One Puff Ever I also got a little tattoo as a reminder of stopping If you really want to do it you will,…

Thanks for all your replies. The doctor refuses to try any other meds so I've given in with them. I'm in the UK too. After much research have decided to try thyroid-s. Will either help, do nothing or poison me. Lets hope its option number 1 :) If anyone has anymore info please post away. If I have any luck I'll let you…

Hi! Well done for stopping again. I hope it's going well. I found I just needed to occupy my mind with other things. Such as hold a pen, chew gum, remind myself that people stink. Don't think about it, you are a non-smoker now :D
-
Me too! Feel free to add me anyone :) Been here about 4 years ago and having to start again boooo :(

Successfully spent 2 years to lose 30+ lbs, lost my job on my feet and put it all back on within about 3 months. Back to start again and hopefully more success this time

Do not believe in self help books but Allen Carr all the way!! That book changed my mindset and 1 1/2 years later do not want to smoke at all. Once you have said goodbye to your last ciggy forever keep remembering N>O>P>E NOT ONE PUFF EVER Best decision ever, thinking about quitting was much harder than actually doing it…

Yay! Well done in your decision to be a non smoker  Once you get past the first week thats huge, then the second is amazing. I reccommend you download an app that you can check each day to see how great ur doing. You can do it!

I'll get back to this one if it ever happens

It's great you've been diagnosed. My advice would just be read lots about it and take your meds. Dont be scared getting put on the meds as they will hopefully start helping you. There is a lot to take in! Check stopthethyroidmaddness.com loads of info. The weight does off slowly but the main part there is it does come off!…

Your tummy area has flattened out considerably!!! The hardest part people usually find too, great going. Looks like your thighs have slimmed down a good bit too.
-
Keep at it your doing great! You can see the hour glass shape now :drinker: It took me about 40lbs to go down a dress size...... dont focus on dress sizes anyway they are all different and wrong, get your tape measure out and measure your waist, thighs, hips, calfs, bust and arms if you havnt already.
-
Agree with possibly eating more if your burning so much off calorie wise. Also get that tape measure out and measure up! Best advice i saw..... Dont just look at the number, 26lbs is a great loss in that short a space of time.
