My very severe stress fx showed up on xray. The pain was severe and located pretty locally, it was not diffuse. There was heat in the area and some swelling. It was in my tibia, and the main symptoms were localized pain, severe, and pain when I went from running to walking...that was agonizing. Sports med doc gave me heck…

Jessica Smith is popular on youtube. Tons of variety, lots of info on modification, well organized to help find what you are looking for.

This. Go get checked. If not this, something else needs to be addressed.

Target and Old Navy! Per the party line, I do like what UA stuff I have, but I only buy it on clearance and put it on gift wish lists!

I gained on Insanity, the intense Cardio just drove my appetite. But man, was I ever cardiac fit, with muscle enduance like crazy.

I just plain requested a diuretic, plus I drink a ton. About four pounds in a couple of days, and I felt so much better. For maintenance, my diuretic, lots of water, watching out for high sodium foods. Taking the diuretic is not without its own risks, but I am an RN and aware of the potential problems, and it is worth it…

I like the workouts a lot. I think they were fun, effective, no dread factor, well produced, etc. I did not do the meal plan because, well...Tupperware in our house of teenagers doing chores is hit or miss. They probably would have found the containers pretty and they would have been gone. Instead I figured out my calories…

Salmon jerky??? Must find. We have been using some salmon based dog training treats, my hubby said they looked like salmon jerky and ate one, said it wasn't half bad. LOL.

You beat me to my answer! lol Yes, on my birthday, on other people's birthdays, and sometimes just because. Now, I don't waste calories on some dried out piece of crap, but otherwise, oh heck yeah. If it really bothers you, work the calories in across the course of the week.

You have your "why", and it is strong and significant. Either print your OP, or write yourself a letter that has all that emotion in it, and keep it. Pull it out to read when sometimes the distance you have to go seems too long-which it will, from time to time.

Soooo, ( :-) ) I am also a former coach, quit in January. I did it for my own discount and have never sold a thing or tried to sell anything to anybody. There's the disclaimer. I also love to work out at home, especially in the winter. I go to the Y to swim and sometimes use machines, but otherwise it is home or outside. I…

Get the levels right, first. Then exercise, I am finding I do best with not stressing my body too much (I just finished 21Day Fix, and am doing 21 Day Fix Extreme, I can do high intensity, but not for hours everyday). Sleep and manage overall stress. I also do best emphasizing protein and managing carbs-making sure the…

I am missing a significant chunk of my gut and chia seeds in oatmeal really help to normalize my life. I tried them in overnight oats as well and while they did just what they are supposed to, I can't get into overnight oats as a cold thing. I have also put them in smoothies with the same positive effects on my gut. I…

Where in the world are you reading that she wants to control her dtr? There sure is a lot of projecting going on in this thread...

That picture was taken just a few weeks after the end of chemo. We did a lot of hiking and fun activities, but I was in constant pain the entire trip, just from moving again at all. It took a good 6-9 months for that to stop, and I overestimated what I could do for a long portion of that. But, I was happy, because I was…

I finished treatment for stage 3 colon cancer June 2013, after a full year of treatment. It's taken a long time to get to this point with some setbacks (herniated surgical incisions, stress fractures, assorted chemo and radiation induced crap), but I finally am starting to feel really good right now! I also eat very plant…

I poo poo'd the heck out of this system for a long long time. Then, for some reason it suddenly appealed to me. I do not use the containers, I just set up my MFP numbers to reflect the macro balance recommended and continued to weigh and measure as before. I just figured the containers would get lost in space at this…

Those are freaking gorgeous! Shiny, sparkly, beautiful. Love.

Oh yeah, those :-/ I am strangely ok with burpees. Mountain climbers though, ugh. Treadmill for longer than 3 miles. Up to that, I can listen to good music and lose myself, or a good podcast. After three miles, I can no longer self soothe, lol!

P90X3, Combat, 21 Day Fix (about to move into Extreme, we'll see about that). I am one of four women in the world who did not think Piyo was the bombdiggity. P90X3 is still one of my best fitness purchases ever. Used to be I would say Insanity, but it's been a couple of years since I have done it (3x), and I don't know as…

About halfway through, I started to realize where this was going, and the tears started to come. There are many things I have that I look at like this, and I think about it probably rather more than I should, because my parents are still here but we are definitely in that window and I hate it. I saved a pencil stub that my…

Google "seated Exercise" or "chair exercise", there are tons of videos on youtube and Sparkpeople to that effect. Most are resistance training, but that is certainly better than nothing, yes? I seem to remember some that got the cardio going as well, although it won't be comparable to running or something. I would check…

I am starting the third week. I do not use the containers, rather I set up my calorie and macro goals here according to what the plan outlines, and just log as always. The workouts are very nice and I am getting a lot out of them. I had written the program off when it first came out, but am glad I got it. I also enjoy her…

Another alternative to start would be if you have a chair or bench, put your hands on said chair seat or bench, the step each leg back, step each leg in, stand, do the little hop if desired, wash and repeat. Make it harder as you go...so then you could put your hands on the chair seat, hop your feet back and in, do the…

You are doing beautifully. I absolutely would not do it if I were you. Too many permanent restrictions and changes. I love one of the fifth year surgical residents I work with. His advice? "I always tell people to never ever have surgery unless they absolutely have to." I have had multiple abdominal surgeries due to…

Start now. There will ALWAYS be a party, a holiday, a bad day. It's just something to work through and around. You go, you have fun, you make the best choices you can, and keep on going.

I would think so. With spinning you can adjust your resistance and just slow down if you need to. Same with Zumba really, just take a little pause. I haven't done Zumba (just watched videos of it a few times), so can't really say...if there is any twisting involved you may want to watch that. It doesn't seem to have…

That is a pretty vague recommendation from your doc... I have not had a hysterectomy but have had multiple abdominal surgeries for resection/tumor removal, ostomy reversal, and finally, hernia repair when the first incision herniated. So, I will just share where I started and maybe it can help you? My surgeon was much more…

Have you been put on replacement therapy? I was diagnosed July 2014, put on meds, and it has taken several tries to get the levels right. In that time period, no dice on weight loss. My hair stopped falling out and has started to regrow, and I kept getting fitter, but the caloric restriction it was going to take to affect…

About 12. I was doing chemotherapy. Not recommended.
