Yes! And If you really want to impress..in the shape of a unicorn, or other fantasy animal. =D Side note....5 o'clock shadows are worse than the jungle in my opinion..prickly is not better.

You are completely right! I'm an all or nothing kind of gal. Trying to find more balance in everything I do these days. I love to workout too..but I like the fun and challenging workouts (Kickboxing, Zumba, Tabata) not the safe workouts (walking/swimming). I'm trying to slowly build back up my muscles to support my knee,…

Thanks! I had to "Just Do It" last night. I wasn't feeling it, exhausted, but ended up getting in a great workout and even pushed myself a little. What you have done sounds like what I'm doing right now. It's good to hear you had success with it!

I just asked a similar question..how to get enough protein. Here is what the community suggested: Cottage cheese (add green onion, tomatoes, Italian seasoning or go sweet with a little fruit and truvia, xylitol, or sweetener of your choice) Overnight oats..easy easy and loaded with protein!…

Subtle advertising! lol How long have you been waiting for a question about energy drinks?

I can drink sugar free red bulls, but a monster will send me to the ER. I have an irregular heart beat. I'm trying to kick the habit too, but I have a night job and I can't get anything done without a lot of caffeine. They also tax your liver, and have led to at least 6 deaths. The FDA is investigating energy drinks. Best…

Thanks, something to think about =) I read one study and it directly contradicts another. It's very frustrating. I have hypoglycemia, so I tend to do better with protein in every meal and healthy carbs. I've had so many friends keep track of their macros and have been able to eat this way for awhile. They have increased…

Your diary is awesome! Nice to see that you can get that kind of protein, without gorging on meat. I'm not a huge fan of red meat, and get bored with chicken.
-
Ahh...that makes sense. Thanks! I think I can handle that =D What I have learned today: 1. I was calculating my macros based on the wrong number..duh (but so are my friends, lol) 2. I probably only need about 100g of protein, which is only 25g more than my average. Cool! 3. Supplement with low cal protein shakes..the more…

Simple is good! lol I'm confused now about what I'm supposed to do. My friends used their total body weight, calculated their TDEE, took 20% off that to lose weight, then calculated their macros on the new number. I need to calculate my bodyfat again. Back in the day, I had 120 lbs of lean body mass, according to my…

And you probably had a full time job too! I used to be a personal trainer and I worked another full time job, went to school, had an active social life, AND spent 3 hours in the gym! Now...15 yr old kid, full time job, social life (ha!), gym 6 days a week (I feel like a rock star!), and once in a while get to sleep in! This…

I used two calculators...one was total body weight and one was lean body mass. I'm guessing on my lean body mass, last time it was measured was 20 years ago, when I was an athlete. The total body weight was way too high.. like 161g

I am a religious fanatic about logging ;) I was eating about 1500/day...way lower than my TDEE requirement. I was using MFP's suggestions for losing 2/week. I was burning 600 cal+ a day, and not eating the exercise calories. My friends suggested that I eat most of my exercise calories, then the scale started moving. My…

I have consistently stayed within my calories, burn crazy calories and keep gaining and losing the same 5 lbs. I've had some friends have huge success counting macros. Thought I would give it a try!

I'm 5'9 and working out 6 days a week. I weigh A LOT! Working on that. lol I don't look my weight thankfully =) All good ideas! I realize, looking back through my diary, that I'm a total carb addict. I snack on fruit, veggies and hummus. My meals have been within my calories, but 70% carb. I can definitely do better! Thanks
-
That seems doable! Thanks I tend to go for yogurt, string cheese, protein shakes..but they average 10g - 20g

Thanks!

Thanks for replying! I was starting to hear crickets =) Great idea about acting like you've lost a ton of weight, when you're in a swimsuit! I'm stealing that one. I'm going to rock aqua zumba next time! Check me out..I've lost 100lbs (in my head) I will take your advice and my own..life is way to short to waste time!

I should have named this thread "boobs" or "Are my curves too big" then it would get some attention! lol

Still time to join? I'm looking for something to motivate me! yobby1969 SW 242 GW 229

Thanks! Without anything to monitor my activity level, I have been overestimating my burn. I had a HRM, but the strap was irritating and kept moving around. I think you're right though, I should hold out for the best quality. Ed...312 lbs!! Truly inspirational. You look great!

Great ideas. Thanks!!

Very motivational! Thank you. I can't seem to break it. I keep gaining and losing the same 10 pounds. You don't look anywhere near that btw. Great to be tall! X =D

Hi to all you fellow BA's... I'm Jennifer, a 41 year old, workaholic, single mom. I've lost 34 pounds over the last 3 YEARS!! I have found it so much harder to lose weight now, then in my 20's and 30's. I love to workout and I give it my all, but I'm a foodie and indulge a little too much = / I'm working on making better…

Thanks for starting the group! You look so good...better than I did at 25! lol I'm just trying to get to a healthy weight and tame my curves.
