  • Chick-fil-a's spicky chicken biscuit is my favorite fast food breakfast of all time. Aside from that, I'm obsessed with Arby's fries, Wendy's chili, and Meximelts from Taco Bell. Oh, and McDonald's fries; I think that one's pretty standard, though. Gah, now I want to eat it all.
  • I'm not much of a beauty tip person, but one thing I've been doing for years and love is a trick a friend taught me to make my mascara pop. I put a coat of regular mascara on my eyelashes and then dab either powder or loose/broken eye shadow before it dries. Then I put another coat of mascara on top. My lashes really stand…
  • Because these were the Christmas cookies my brother and I made: PS. I made this snowman cookie in honor of the Doctor Who Christmas Special and snacked on it while I was watching. Yum.

  • Halfway through, my brother turned to me and said, "I like her already." I couldn't agree more. The second half of series seven should be fantastic.
  • Who else is loving the new look of the TARDIS control room? I think it looks super awesome and I can't wait to see it on Christmas Day.
  • For work lunches, I'm addicted to bagel thins with deli ham with some salad, carrot sticks, or fruit. If I'm at home, I'll usually add an egg to the sandwich and a teeny bit of cheese. I'm also a huge fan of tortilla pizzas. I get a regular taco sized tortilla, add a couple table spoons of jarred pizza or spaghetti sauce,…
  • I bought myself this Dalek Christmas shirt today. I just hope it gets here by Christmas. I'm so excited for it! I don't even like holiday stuff and I'm pretty sure I'll wear it every day. http://shirt.woot.com/offers/celebrate-celebrate
  • I don't know if it would be worth a 50-mile drive, but we had some great food. The pumpkin pancakes and red velvet bites were to die for. It was a decidedly un-MFP-friendly meal, though, lol.
  • Cayenne pepper. I'm obsessed.
  • 1. What is your eye color? Brown 2. What is your favorite season? Fall 3. What is your favorite Holiday? Halloween/ Independence Day 4. Have you ever been arrested? No, but I have ridden in the back of a squad car. It was on official business, though, haha. 5. What are 2 things with in arms reach of you right now? A bowl…
  • I upload them using imgur.com. You have to resize them. There will be a list of different link formats on the right side of your screen, and below them there is an option for different sizes. I use 'large thumbnail.' Once you click that, copy the direct link. In order to insert it into the post, you type [i m g] link [/i m…
  • They've been a huge hit every time I've made them. Last year, my co-workers demanded that I bring them to our Thanksgiving potluck, and they've also been approved by my dad who has the ultimate sweet tooth. I haven't broken the news to him that they're low-cal yet, lol.
  • I'm super excited for it! I wish I could find a way to convince my family that it's must-see viewing, but I suspect that I'll have to DVR it and watch it another day. What are your theories on Clara/Oswin? I can't wait to find out more.
  • That is amazing! You look fabulous.
  • Like a lot of people, I gave up regular pop. Once I reach my goal weight, I'll feel comfortable adding it back in in moderation, but I'll never go back to the way I used to drink it. I've also cut fried foods out of my diet almost entirely. I've pretty much gone away from any fast food except for Wendy's chili (delicious,…
  • My friend and I are making a special trip to Denny's tomorrow to check out their Hobbit menu. I say "special trip" because we apparently live in the only metropolitan area in the US that doesn't have a Denny's within 5 minutes. I've never felt like such a victim of marketing in my life, but we're super excited.
  • I thought of another one: black beans. I'm obsessed with them. I put them in soup, on salads, and on top of chicken. Yesterday I had some for lunch with just a sprinkling of cheese and cayenne pepper and I could not have asked for a tastier lunch for under 200 calories.
  • Ooh, I've also grown to love salads. I try to pair them with grilled chicken to get some protein. I'm really not a fan of salad dressing, so I often use spicy salsa instead. It's way healthier and I love the flavor. When I do use dressing, it's a teeny tiny amount (less than 1 tsp for a large salad).
  • I do the same thing. It's so strange to feel muscles and bones in places that have always been blobby chunks of fat. I also enjoy actually seeing a feminine curve on my hips when I lay on my side. My gut is still pretty huge, but I love these small victories.
  • Thanks! It's so worth it, and it really does make a difference knowing that other people have walked the same road you're on. Support from the MFP community has played a big role in keeping me on track when I wanted to give up. I just wish I hadn't wasted so many years hating my appearance.
  • Thanks everyone! The biggest difference was cutting back what I ate and making better choices. I've got a major sweet tooth and I love comfort foods, and while I still count baking as one of my favorite hobbies, I've learned to exercise some self-control and limit myself to one serving when I eat sweets and other goodies…
  • Got my tags sorted out...
  • Because I use pictures like this for my facebook profile. <img src=http://i.imgur.com/o7nAh.jpg /img> Also, I'm totally jealous of your exploding TARDIS blanket, dixie_amazon. I bet it's cozier on the inside. *Sorry, the picture isn't posting right and I have to leave for work. I'll try to fix it later.
  • Han Solo was my first crush. Then I fell in love with Indiana Jones. I was too young to realize that they were the same person, haha. I guess you could say that I have a type, though. It's also worth noting that those crushes are still in full force.
  • When I'm out running and I want to stop, I always tell myself that I'd need to do way better than this if I want to survive for long as the Doctor's companion. Plus, it always helps to imagine him waiting with the TARDIS out on my front lawn when I get home. All the running I've been doing meant that I was able to rock a…
  • The first week was the hardest for me. I'd been on a really, really bad roll since moving home from Florida--I was pretty much main lining Cherry Coke and making daily visits to the Coney Island for the chili fries I couldn't get during my year down south. I felt like I was starving, even though I was eating plenty of…
  • I have no intention of ever cutting out carbs. I had a nice big spaghetti dinner last night and I had lost a pound on my weigh-in this morning. I'm also an avid baker and I'm constantly making ridiculously sugary desserts that are loaded with carbs. The key is to eat them in moderation. I lost 25 pounds before I finally…
